Beverly Hills Cop 4: Axel F
Discussion
Anyone else a big fan of Harold Faltermeyer's music? One of many great things about the original movie.
There's a particularly good and recent mix of Axel F right here. Enjoy,

If this isn’t a steaming turd I would be surprised.
48 Hours, the first Beverly Hills Cop and Trading Places were great (at least in period) but I’ve not seen a decent film with EM in it since (maybe Coming to America). I’m not including Shrek as was just voice and he wasn’t the star.
Another 48 Hours is OK and Bowfinger was good. Nothing decent in the last 20 years though. 48 Hours, the first Beverly Hills Cop and Trading Places were great (at least in period) but I’ve not seen a decent film with EM in it since (maybe Coming to America). EM playing the paranoid dude and the nerd brother character. Really funny
Keep it together, keep it together, keep it together.

I remember Axel F as the soundtrack of the summer in 1985. It was playing everywhere. There's a particularly good and recent mix of Axel F right here. Enjoy,

Loved the first film. As others have said, Eddie Murphy's first 3 films were brilliant (at the time). Since then it's been a mix of good and bad, with his supporting roles generally better than his starting roles.
The trailer looks good, pushing the right nostalgia buttons. But I don't expect it will capture the magic of the original.

You damn right, wise ass! The mayor called the Chief, the Chief called the Deputy Chief, the Deputy Chief just chewed my ass out! You see I don't have any bit of it left, don't you?
Inspector Todd only acted in the BHC films. He played the angry boss so well.

First film I took my new girlfriend to see at the Enfield Odeon back in Spring 1985 in my (new) 1973 MGBGT.
A lifetime ago.
Not sure I fancy this though.

"Ah, dear. I wouldn't get too gloomy about it. Rumour has it she never stopped bonking Toby de Lisle in case you didn't work out."
"She is now my wife."
