£250K investment & his knowledge, plus a crack team of accountants & lawyers etc... that doesn’t come cheap.

Like LS said on ‘Your’re Hired’, all that side of things is taken care of for her so that Marnie can concentrate on actually building the business.
Considering that she is a complete novice...that’s probably worth the investment alone.

I don't think she's a novice, she's also a director for an estate agency.

SAS smiles like 'Hide The Pain Harold'. Or a hostage being paraded for the press.

"spokesperson said: "It is categorically untrue to imply there has been any wrongdoing regarding a bounce back loan application. All the criteria required were met, the loan was completed correctly and is being paid back in full as per the terms of the agreement."

A source denied there has been any wrongdoing, insisting the bank was fully aware of the company’s financial position, adding all loan repayments have been made on time."

How can a company that never traded and therefore never turned over any money have "met the criteria'?
Some banks were saying if you didn't have 12 months of trading history, you could use projections instead.

How much does SAS get paid from the BBC for this? I’d imagine far more than the investment?
Pretty certain he gives his fee to Great Ormond Street hospital.

i'm sure it is still successful, but surely a time to refresh it up, it just feels so dated.

AM I imagining things, or did the final pitches seem much shorter, and with less interrogation this year compared to previous years?

No, you're not imagining it, I thought the same.

I was hoping that Greg was going to be recalled.

The feedback from the Professionals was short & all were quite negative for both Marnie & Rochelle.
LS had to choose the lesser of two evils, but Rochelle is still on his radar... offering her help if she ever needs it.

I thought for a minute that it was going to be another double hiring.

Everything like that has been cut back, the interviews were the same.

I read an article that the original investment of £250K from thirteen years ago is now equal to just over £400K today.
Maybe there’s a good reason why LS hasn’t upped his contributions over the years
I listened to a snippet of a podcast (at least I think it was a podcast) where Mr Beast was talking about the money he gives away. He said that after a certain amount of money (I think it was like $100k), it makes very little difference to the engagement with his videos etc. I suspect this is similar - a quarter of a million quid is so extreme for such a large portion of the population that it doesn’t matter!

I felt like this series was much more "produced" and polished. Dare I say a little contrived and scripted

Yup, the quality of any digital work from each team seems to be highly dependant on which intern the design agency provides.

And which public domain clip art the BBC allows them to use.

Surprised Marnie didn’t have one that she had prepared earlier.

One of the best bits though! Marnie had an idea thought out in her head and did it all how she wants without any interruption from anyone else, and worked it quite well I think. Then Rochelle let's the dopey two do her one. What says classy and "femenin"? Flamingos. Dodgy snack buffets. Obviously a blimp! Ignoring her tagline and putting in plain text at the entrance "you come here and we do hair, all sorts of hair, and it'll look good and you'll look dead classy and feel confident".
