Yep to expand, wife was working on lap top, stuck this on, thought the whole approach, camera work, script, sort of comedy sort of serious, was akin to watching bi polar, kept loudly saying 'this is terrible' to my wife in the other room.
It ended after one nonsensical thing to the next with an air of Cbeebies Balamory to it and me exclaiming loudly one final time 'that was absolutely awful' to my wife who wasn't really listening to me, and 'i can't wait for the next one'.
Which i can't.... the formula for so bad its good is a fine Art, it should not be underestimated the skill level to pull it off, Tom Cruise is the Picasso of this.
I feel that the makers of this are fully aware of what they are doing and would smugly brush off any critique as people not having the brain to get the little nuances, 'that was the point, idiot'

We watched the first episode last night. As said above, some fairly unbelievable stuff but we are hooked. We’re going to try to watch it as it goes out on tv rather than on iPlayer.
Hadn’t spotted that it was filmed in real-time and not entirely sure what that means but is it all a single take with multiple cameras? If so, it was quite good in that regard.

+1Female lead has zero credibility or gravitas for that role, the copper is a bit wet, and back at HQ they have a 12 year old nerd doing the techie bits. The archetypal cut-out Scots drunk is woeful and the train conductor seems to be speaking Bulgarian a lot of the time.

He must need the money because I saw him recently in an ITV drama called Six Four which also was a bit below him.It's good that some of the River City cast offs have got another gig along with Boaby from The Clansman who is the train driver. I'm half expecting Jack & Victor to make an appearance

Anyone who watches this, and is nervous of travelling on a train, shouldn't be allowed out unchaperoned anyway, IMO.It's bat s
t mental, it would be like never going on a bus because of the film Speed, or never flying because of Cast Away and not because of 9/11.If anything it showed that these expensive Marxist train drivers don't really do anything but moan about how little they get paid for doing nothing.
Can you imagine pressing a button then sitting back for 2 to 6 hours just thinking about how you should be paid more for it... i guess when they go on strike its the most work they ever do.
