I have been up at my parents' place for a few days, so a different TV region. This meant I was subjected to the Sun Bingo ad. The full length version. I want to track down the vile woman in it and club her repeatedly.

Pretty sure I saw Skittles in a plain white bag the other day. Sort of defeats the rainbow advert thing. Although I only found out a few weeks ago that they each colour was a different fruit flavour, I just assumed they were all the same like smarties.
White skittles bag was part of gay / lbtqxyhsagdf pride I believe.

Yeap, and just to confuse matters even more, the skittles themselves are all white.

Well surely they are now racist?

Isn't the gay pride thing all colourful? That means a standard bag is more fitting I'd have thought.

From what i recall of the instore advertising, around Pride, i think they ran a slogan something along the lines of "This Pride only one rainbow matters, so we've given ours up".

Skittles... How do people not know Skittles.

The whole taste the rainbow thing, Giraffe can reach up high and eat the rainbow, so the taste of the rainbow comes out of the Giraffes milk.
A rainbow is defracted light, which is tasteless.

EE / BT Sport advert with Kevin Bacon and Delia Smith...

By the way I love the Trivago girl smile
When I first saw an EE ad with Kevin Bacon I had never encountered him before, and I thought who is this ancient oik? He's like a a Jack-the-Lad from Watford (or an American equivalent such as Scranton) whose got old but won't acknowledge it.

The current ad that is really getting on my nerves is the furniture ad with the canvas doll with a West Indian accent. furious

Neither of the first two have I seen, but Tremors was a staple of backwater channels for years. It is almost thirty years old and Bacon would not have been an ageing oik then, just an oik! I'm afraid I don't remember any of the cast bar the worms. I prefer the worms in Dune - and Francesca Annis...

Dune the film was utter ste. Books were much better to read.

Apollo 13 and tremors though what a zenith and nadir for a career smile

"This is Andy from Age Partnership UK, and he gets to travel all around the UK telling our customers just how quick & easy it is to release their equity..."

Also

"....That's nothing, i've just hired a Maserati Levante*....Yay".

  • So just like the 5 Series, it's for a claimed minimal amount of ££, that actually requires a very specific set of T&C's to be met, which as a result means the price is in no way reflective of the real cost of rental.

He's such a constant of Hollywood that they invented a game about him. The six degrees of Kevin Bacon. Essentially anyone in the Hollywood film industry can be linked to Kevin Bacon in 6 steps or less.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Six_Degrees_of_Kevin...

This is actually the reason they picked him for the advert because it was about a phone network connecting everybody.
Appears the game still exists... https://oracleofbacon.org

I seem to remember that Bacon wound up broke due to disasterous investments.

Invested with Bernie Madoff so you can guess how that ended.
