Battlestar Galactica

Loved the series, bought the box sets as they came out for each season as i dont have sky. Had to shout at people who had sky and tried to tell me what happened.
The ending of season 1 had me out of my seat with shock! and season 2 dvd box set was 5 months away from release!! lol.
Its a fantastic series, though i bought the Caprica season opener on dvd, meh, and seeing that season 2 was canned i wont miss it. However blood and chrome sounds awesome, and i can't wait, but again as i have free sat, not sky it will take ages to get it again grr.
Also have babylon 5 box set, yes its shows its age, but its still awesome to see a 5 year story have the first tendrils in the first episode not get fully resolved until the 4th season!!

One guess what they called it....
Well, considering that they had a set of drinks coasters called "Boozi" I'm guessing "Shaivi"? http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/3800620...

Love it!Would have been better if they had called a toaster that though
For those of you interested in Caprica, they've been releasing the episodes on itunes - that's how I've been watching it. I found the development of the Cylons to be pretty interesting - and I hope some of this stuff is run for real (like the holo-bands) at some point. Lots of classic cars aswell.

Saw every episode. Must say it gets a bit tedious towards the middle then picks up well in the last few episodes, especially with the cylons, and ends in a bit of a rush. I'm sure if it hadn't have been canned what you see in the last episode would have made the basis of a good second series.I also find it particularly sad and moving how it ends for one family when Willie Adama dies in his father's arms and then we learn 'the' William Adama is born a year later. I'd assumed, having not read anything about the storyline, that the Willie throughout all the episodes of Caprica was always going to grow up to be Bill Adama of BSG.

Cough, top episode tonight!!!!!
Just watched it. One of the best. Saul's scenes, 'Two battlestars have come on dradis, Adamas back.' 'It's a trap where is Galactica.' then that manoeuvre (which I can watch over and over because it's not what a BS is designed to do, plus the score is spot on), The Pegasus coming to the rescue and kicking arse, a great space fight scene, Adama's scenes.Question, does Hotdog say, 'well this will be different.' when he launches?

I've now watched the final episode, and agree with all your comments. I actually think it is a really good background to BSG, but I'm glad it came after BSG - I would probably have given up otherwise. I'm a self-confessed geek, and I'd really have liked to see this as a huge tech fest, but I can see that the human element is really important to the makers - as it was on BSG. I think the human element is what really makes BSG and Caprica stand out from the rest. Can't wait for blood and chrome!

That's what I heard. Assumed it was because of the manoeuvre Galactica was making at the time. The tube launchers are designed to fire out the ships into space.... not while free falling into atmo. Great line.
Blown away by Saul's final line to Adama on the flight deck . Now THAT is acting!!!!
