The bomb went of in what is known as the government quarter here in the city. Is basically a area almost sealed of from the rest of the city, where the government have located their buildings and departments. The bomb destroyed windows as far as 1km+ away. They are still yet to conclude whether or not it is a terror attack or a explosion due to the road works in the street where the buildings are located.

Bugger! This is terrible news - a huge explosion by all accounts.

My heart goes out to those affected by it.

Al-Jazeera TV reports that Norwegian prosecutors filed a terrorism charge against Mullah Krekar, founder of the Kurdish Islamist group Ansar al-Islam on Tuesday...

The Norwegians have been trying to deport Mullar Krekar (founder of Ansar al-Islam) for years (since about 2003).

He has threatened to assasinate the government if they succeed.

Earlier this month he was charged with making threats against the politicians.

Mulla Krekar has apparently denied that he is behind the bomb, but not sure how credible that is though.

Police reports that there are two more bombs in Oslo, but they don't know where they are. I guess that leaves out the road work as a possible case. The casualties can be much, much worse if it hits some of the residential areas of the city.

frown Pictures on BBC look pretty ominous an entire street, every window blown out right up to the top of very tall buildings.
