Political bias at BBC - something has to be done surely

I think the issue here is that the "left" has had such an easy time from the BBC and similar media over the past 20 years compared to the treatment of the "right" that any rebalancing of the output towards a a more neutral position is instantly interpreted as right wing bias.
Likewise the "failure" of the media (including the BBC) to "listen carefully" (for that read unquestioningly) to Jeremy Corbyn must be hard to understand for many who live in their own twitter/facebook echo chambers of self confirmation.
That having been said, we should rightly be both wary of and critical of any right wing bias that the BBC might display in the future (- however unlikely that scenario may be.). If we are (rightly) demanding an unbiased BBC, it would be hypocritical not to criticise right wing bias as strongly as we have criticised the BBCs traditional left wing bias.
Well if I hear any conservative views on Radio 4 I will be sure to post them here to show that station is balanced. I won't hold my breath though. The bias is visceral. Likewise the "failure" of the media (including the BBC) to "listen carefully" (for that read unquestioningly) to Jeremy Corbyn must be hard to understand for many who live in their own twitter/facebook echo chambers of self confirmation.

Both very subtle digs that let everybody know what his political affiliations are. And also how much of a tt he is...

The BBC have become a joke, they used to be the one source of news you could trust, now they are just the mouthpiece of the Tory party.

I am unable to watch BBC current affairs programmes, incuding the news any longer, due to obvious bias. Question time should be titled a party political broadcast on behalf of the Conservatives. Newsnight is the same.

It's fun to watch whine about bias on both sides, where both sides can't figure out that they are the other side of the same coin.

I don't know if it's bias or poor training, but twice in the last week BBC political correspondents have referred to 'seven years of Tory rule' which isn't actually correct. Should this be accurately reported?
Then again the emotion-based reporting is getting tedious - the special report from the Med aboard the ferry that brings all our future doctors and engineers over to Italy, the first sentence referring to the dangers etc etc and the 'women and children' making the journey. Later in the same report 'the vast majority of these refugees are men of working age' and the boat is being paid for by Save the Children. So a children's charity is spending good money to bring in more men of fighting age. Interesting.

All the "Rescue" units in the Med are is a Ferry service. The charities buy the boats, wait for the Rescue ships to sit off shore then send them direct to them to be transported to the EU shores. Then again the emotion-based reporting is getting tedious - the special report from the Med aboard the ferry that brings all our future doctors and engineers over to Italy, the first sentence referring to the dangers etc etc and the 'women and children' making the journey.
