So it's collapsed and there is flooding and people have been injured? wink

What it looks like to me is there is an issue on the line, the RMT called in the tunnel collapse (even though they have no men down there) to gain support for their strike and spread panic.

If this is in anyway true then they should be disgusted with themselves.

(Its the kind of thing Bob would do though)
I don't know - personally, I'd be disinclined to support them if I thought a partial collapse had occured while they were striking. It would sort of show how dangerous it is for them to strike.

But it wouldn't surprise me, right enough.
Sounds like this was due to shoddy maintenance last night (the maintenance crew strike doesn't affect the Bakerloo line).

So does this mean the tubes are safer when there is no maintenance?!

Hang on a mo.... Just lighting the gas under me dinner

[Please note: I am a southerner but were just using dinner for effect - I do of course mean "light luncheon" for the benefit of those stuck on the Bacoliteloo Line]

BBC said the people striking aren't the ones who look after that tunnel.

but hypothetically speaking, do the ones on that route now need to help cover out the other routes so are now understaffed?

I don't know how the underground's handling cover.

Nothing to see here, just the traditional ph outcry of 'OMG lazy fking strikers'.

I noticed in the plod section some of the BiB on here are petitioning for industrial rights...
