Ecuador gave Assange citizenship in order to try and grant him diplomatic immunity. It didn’t quite go as planned though.

The WikiLeaks founder is apparently notorious for not showering or changing his clothes.'

Why have the anti-Assangers on PH not commented on the fact as published in the above publication that: "The charges in Sweden have since been dropped after prosecutors questioned him at the embassy."?

Why were the CPS sticking their oar in? I thought the alleged offences happened in Sweden.

How much of the money spent guarding Assange in that embassy could have been used tackling the motorcycle thieves in London?

Probably something about not wanting 'hiding in a cupboard for a few years' to be a way of dodging prosecution or extradition.

Please do not think this case is being dealt with as just another extradition.

“Julian Assange will continue to face detention if he leaves the Ecuadorian embassy in London after a British judge upheld a warrant for his arrest.

Handing down her judgment before a packed courtroom at Westminster magistrates court, senior district judge Emma Arbuthnot said she was not persuaded by the argument from Assange’s legal team that it was not in the public interest to pursue him for skipping bail.”

The District Judge appears to share the disdain that many feel towards this odious charlatan -

Apparently some of the pro Assange whackjob conspiracy loons are crying foul because the Judge is married to some Tory Peer dude. Oh FFS.

Meanwhile, I bet the Ambassador is even more fed up than Assange is.

Spot on summary.

I'm quite surprised the Ecuadorians haven't called time on him.

If he'd been found guilty in Sweden, how long would he have served?

Don't be so naïve.

And before you could say "Don't give him to the Americans, they gave him to the Americans, and that's the last we ever heard of him"! rofl

What I don't quite understand is what the motivation is for the Ecuadorian embassy to continue sheltering him. Is it just a relatively safe way to stick two fingers up at the USA? Or do they believe in his cause?
