Much as I dislike some of the crap Vaz spouts, I really don't think he is dumb enough to leave such an obvious money trail.

Of course not, that why it's taken years to get onto the trail properly.

Let's hope it leads home this time.

Keith Vaz has yet again been using his influence to try and get a foreign billionaire a 'travel document'. The man in question, a corrupt Indian cricket official, did not even live in Vaz's constituency.

As touched on in another thread Vaz also seems to be central to quite a few of the political figures accused of historical sex crimes.

I don't understand why he's so popular in parliament - yet again he's about to be made head of the commons home affairs committee because no one else stood for selection.

Also if you google his name you'll see that he has written to google to take advantage of the eu 'right to be forgotten' ruling as it says so at the bottom of the page.

But look at the list of people that backed him.

Perhaps he should have listed writing to Google as one of his 'interests'?

Perhaps someone should explain to Labour that having Vaz as the chair of a HASC is a vote loser?

I'd rather he had been in a marginal seat and got turfed out at the election.

I think on The Hindu newspaper website someone asked whether Portugal was a good place for Modi's wife to have cancer treatment and why she didn't have it in the UK. And there was another comment comparing that Indian politicians conduct in helping Modi to helping another family.

I think such favour calling and scratching the backs of others' happens in the UK too.

Perhaps strategically it may be good if Vaz keeps his HASC job just to see what other capers he may get embroiled in in the future.

The Royals really didn't learn from the whole Jimmy Savile thing did they and they continue to associate themselves with dodgy characters. A quick google search would have shown that Mr Modi was a convicted drug trafficker and kidnapper, and was facing fraud charges in India. Or I guess the most likely scenario is that the Palace did know but didn't care.

article said:
"On July 2 last year, Mr Vaz raised Mr Modi's case with another Home Office official.

He wrote: "Mr Modi informs me that he met the Prince of Wales (Charles)... and he also met Prince Andrew two days ago. Both offered to help resolve this matter as he was complaining about missing the wedding of his sister and the inability to meet amongst others the president of the Seychelles."

Mr Vaz says he acted on the information given to him by Mr Modi. His application for a certificate of travel was initially rejected the next day.

On July 21, Prince Andrew, 55, was spotted visiting Mr Modi at his townhouse in Chelsea, a posh area of west London."

The toad that is Vaz pontificating on the family that voluntarily went to Syria to join IS.

Does make a valid point it is up to families/communities to solve this.
