Wrong thread if you don't mind.

Not delicate in the slightest, already a thread running for jokes in the lounge.
I don't think there is a need to have this thread locked or deleted.
wink

good point. im sure you can use google and find it yourself if you are interested in what was said.

as regards this case in a moment of pure speculation, if he did dump the body in the river shirley it would have been washed downstream and they are looking in the wrong place?

I suppose that would depend on how the bag was weighted down and the with the level of water been high and strength of the current.

All good points.

My assumption (earlier in thread) was that it'd be out of the estuary by now, but clearly local knowledge is best and, as yet, they are not using the coastguards to search but concentrating on the river/esturary area. I guess times will tell - and may well prove my initial assumption incorrect.

Nothing much in the press about what's going on with Bridger's kids ? Presume they are not going to school as normal, since they were in her class. Innocent til proven guilty etc, but kids and parents at school gates can be pretty brutal with their taunts etc.
Cant help but feel a little sorry for his kids too.

Also, you're forgetting Rich1231's habit of treating me like some kind of special case for reasons I've never quite been able to fathom.

He'll probably quote this post now, with something witty, erudite and cultured like 'fk off and die you fking tt.' He's nice like that.
I can't reply to all the idiots, I don't have the time.

Was that supposed to be funny or an insult?

The sad thing is, a little girl has almost certainly lost her life. PH covers itself in glory with many of the weirdos turning up on a thread to speculate on how and why it was done with the most ludicrous ideas. Of course those that deny they are speculating whilst offering scenarios are excluded, righto.

This has to be the most sensible thing that has been posted on this thread for a while - some of the general guff being spouted on this thread would make even the most experienced tabloid writers weep.

I disagree – I think it’s self-righteous twaddle.

The disappearance (and probable death) of a young child is an extremely sensitive and upsetting issue. However, in the absence of facts, people inevitably speculate. It’s what people do. It’s no different to speculating about what features are going to be included in the next Aston Mercedes F11 Superglise GTi or speculating about whether Wayne Lampard is going to join Melchester Rovers.

Erm, I would say it is rather different.

I dont think normal people do ROver, that's the point.
We know you love a good child murder and love to become internet investigator and make your own decision as to what has happened, according the the tidbits you find in tabloids but despite what you say most people really really really don't do that.
It is a grossly macabre and vile thing to do.

I have not commented much on this thread. Whatever happened to April Jones is appalling and tragic and I hope that the guilty party (whoever that turns out to be) rots in jail for the rest of their lives and then rots in hell for the rest of eternity. But I still think it is quite natural for people to speculate about what may or may not have happened.

As for the other case to which you refer – I have formed my opinion mainly on reading the official police files into the investigation and the actual words and actions of the people involved and NOT what the tabloids have written.

We both know that isn't true, but either way I am not having an idle point-scoring session.
You are likening idle specualtion about the killing/disposal of a child to specualting about extras on an Aston Martin.
I am just saying that it really isn't. Your outlook is not normal no matter how many times you say other wise.
Normal people hear about that and give thier kids a bigger hug in the evening, and follow with interest waiting for facts. Inventing stuff for idle conversation is ghoulish

I dont have kids and so my feelings towards all this dark st is rather skewed.. but in cases like this, and others, or where young people die (as happened to a friend not long ago), or infact when anything dark happenes, i really dont get involved in the emotions etc.. my outlook is whats done is done.. no amount of crying, remorse, witch hunts etc are going to bring her back, so lets get over it and have a good trial to follow as everyone loves a good murder case.

As terrible as what has happened is, it happens on a daily basis around the World.

I think as a country we are desensitised to some of the truly horiffic things that occur within this World, purely because they don't happen on our doorstep.

This means that whenever a case such as this arrises, it is all the more difficult for people to comprehend.

I see things in black and white and am able to extract the emotion.

The culprit will be found and punished. The problem is that there is always another criminal waiting around the corner.
