What relevance to the gang abuse, other than the fact that, rightly and correctly, all child abusers are being targeted by the authorities?

Did you read the article? He was working in conjunction with others and groomed 146 children online.

I read the article. He was the only one convicted and it does not mention other people being prosecuted. It's not really parallel.

Hopefully that all goes without saying.

He's a POS right enough and it's good to know the authorities are nailing all abusers in the same way.

I'd posted earlier in the thread in response to people who thought any group or individual was safe from investigation and prosecution - the implication being that misplaced political correctness was allowing certain demographics to operate with impunity - clearly that is not the case. Rightly so.

Agree with that. He was live streaming the abuse to other peadophiles too

Absolutely sickening behaviour.

Different ethnicity, different MO, different age targeted. But no less sickening than the gangs.

Horrible. Could they not find who was watching the live stream? You would hope so.

Must be loads of Type 2 going on using this MO. Targets are much younger than the gangs/type 1 stuff, and it can’t be as easy to come across victims to groom/photo them. The paedophiles have less contact, so the MO is to share whatever interactions or materials there are, widely and virtually. Whereas the gangs have more physical contact, but each victim is probably less widely “shared”.

Police forensic tech people are pretty smart, so the video sharing may be something that they are potentially going to target. Would be good.

Disgraceful judgment. Ignorance of the law is no defence.

And presumably, he was aware of Islamic law in any case, forbidding him of sex outside of marriage.

I am pretty sure this case had a thread at the time - I certainly remember it being discussed.

Would it be usual for a teen to be sent down for this?

Thanks. I've just noticed that near the top of the article it says:

Published: 25 January 2013 | Updated: 2 February 2016

So do we need it to be posted here now?
