I accused the rapists of being Islamists.
I don't think they are.

They are people that believe women and non muslims are inferior and can be abused due to a combination of cultural and religious upbringing.

Islamists tend to be more intellectual and educated whilst these men tend to be of very low intelligence doing low level jobs.

Glad thats sorted it then, we can just look at the Elephant in the room, we just cannot discuss it.

Strip away the religious crap and what do you have, you have a cultural issue.

You've literally just justified my assertion that they're Islamists.

Staunch, literal religious upbringing.
Cultural values born from it.

Islamism.

No deviation from the written word.
No I haven't, the "men" that a committing these acts aren't staunch Muslims, these are the guys that will also be drinking behind closed doors.

Correlation is not causation though. We need to look hard at how and why these predatory gangs happen. It may not be directly tied to religion, but more possibly because they work in the night time economy, across areas that have direct access to their victims - taxis, take aways and such. Culture and religion may be a factor, but it may not be the only one and simply concentrating on that could lead away from what really drives these people.

White paedophiles tend to be loners or smaller groups, often in a position of trust and often targeting much younger victims. Why, it's proximity possibly - they don't get as much access to vulnerable teenagers, but they can engineer access to them through other ways .

By all means have a robust and honest conversion, and that will mean some hard questions into certain cultures and religions, but it should not be the entire narrative. There's more at play and it needs a full, detailed investigation into what makes these people do what they do, if we are to stop it happening in the future.

We really need to reclassify these kinds of offenses, statutory rape has never really been dealt with as robustly as violent rape or paedophilia.
Legally a girl under 16 cannot consent to sex in this country, however that is not true in all countries or cultures.
Anyone remember the 13 year old getting some off a waiter in Turkey, didn't they get married?
When I judge my behaviour I don't always check the law books, if I did I'd probably never be able to leave the cells.
I judge it morally, with an aspect to what the downside is should I be pulled up on it.
In their grubby little souls these bds feel no guilt, they are probably mortified at being sent to jail for something they do not feel against their morals.
All we can do is increase the downside, one way of doing this would be victim reparations, if xyz faced losing his business and livelihood it might have more effect.
Oh and automatic deportation of any who were not born here of have dual citizenship, with no return.

The seedier side of the night time economy no doubt about that. Take aways, night clubs etc. Mostly self employed as well, keeps them away from any oversight, it’s a kind of hidden economy. Mainly uneducated men, usually first or second generation Pakistanis although not exclusively.

If you're referring to the IICSA- it was not fit for purpose, and a grim comedy of errors. It didn't really show anything meaningful (IMHO), and it would be better if we had a full, thorough, properly structured and funded review, not the half arse attempt that was.

You cant just dismiss it out of hand because in your opinion it didn't show anything meaningful ??

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/gr...

The Government wouldn't publish ts own review into Grooming Gangs,

"The government is refusing to release official research on the characteristics of grooming gangs, claiming it is not in the “public interest”."

Even though Javid promised in 2018... He wouldn't ignore race and culture...

Which leads to what conclusion ?? That race, culture and religion were more of an issue than the government thought and rather than pour fuel on any fires they will ignore them ?

Or that the outcome showed that 88% of grooming gangs were white and overall reflective of the make up of the UK ??

So, let's clarify...

This lot did it because they are "Islamists" and devout Muslims and their religion tells them to do it. rolleyesrolleyesrolleyes

and this lot did it because......??? confusedconfusedconfused

Is there an ethnicity and/or religious link to these scum bags doing the same thing?

If we're going to name call, we might as well have one universal umbrella theory?

I worked in the night time economy for about six years. Lots of street life happened all around me.

Lots of young people - teenagers they used to be called - hanging around bored stless, or desperate not to be in the house, or kicked out til bedtime, whatever.

Guess how many times I raped or otherwise abused anyone, plied anyone with drugs, passed anyone around my mates, etc.

The night time economy presents an opportunity, but it’s not a justification or a reason. These guys did what they did because they wanted to and because they could (and because they thought they’d get away with it).

This thread started as a reaction to the developing knowledge of the Pakistani grooming gangs and the societal and political reasons for their remaining under the radar. Police, social work and leftist councils worrying about beng termed racists created a culture where the industrial level of rape, torture and abuse flourished within certain communities. This thread was to discuss reasons for both the perpetrators and those covering for the perpetrators.

It wasn't created to run comparisons between gangs assisted to hide by the authorities, and those that are not.
No, instead it's turned into a "I'm not a racist but......" commentary.

Views, statements and opinions like that are EXACTLY what allowed them to abuse vulnerable children up and down the country on an almost industrial scale and almost in plain sight.

You should be ashamed of yourself.

To be fair I think he’s referring to the likes of the views expressed a couple of pages back that there is a religious or cultural propensity towards such behaviour and that this is an ethnicity issue.

Of course a lack of investigation based on perceived comeback from communities or commentators is wrong when there is a basis to investigate crimes, but asserting views that this is essentially an Islamic or Pakistani-immigrant problem is also a problem and feeding into a prejudicial or stereotypical narrative doesn’t assist anyone.

But when you have gangs up and down the country all from the same religious / cultural back ground, carrying out a style and level of abuse we have not seen before, you must be working hard to deny any link.
