I would actually agree with that as well.

However, I think the way this is being dealt with by the US/UN is really crap. Should this have been dealt with more carefully and tactically we could be in a very different position now. The heavy sanctions have done nothing to stop the nuclear weapons development, or affected the elite of the country. But they have reduced the people of the country to that of a third world one, which means there is currently zero chance of any internal change or pressure to change. As I have said many times before the ONLY way of resolving this conflict is through internal change, which will just not happen as things stand.
It isn't the sanctions that has destroyed the N. Korean populace, that would be the communist/juche ideology of the successive Kim regimes. It isn't as if they were some super successful society before the nuke program began. They have been living on the edge of starvation for decades.

oh yes, I completely understand that. The starvation was caused by a nutcase regime. However what the sanctions are doing is preventing trade which would help bring in the tools for the population to start bringing their own change

Have we covered the alleged attempts by N Korea to compromise several US electricity providers?

I know it was talked about back in April, but there were signs of a new attempt at the back end of last week

I doubt the Chinese are going to fall for this and come to NK's aid if it shoots down a USAF plane.

Knew it was out there somewhere.

Meanwhile, back in Gotham, can I hear all the senior news presenters getting stuffed on a flight to S Korea and stand at the border?

China has already stated that it will step in if the US attacks Korea. KJU knows this, and so can up the rhetoric.

I suspect (but do not know) that KJU / Beijing are trying to coax Trump into saying something really really outrageous from which he will be forced to very publicly step back, in the hope of diminishing him and the USA in the eyes of the world - to China's benefit, of course.

Is Trump stupid enough to fall for it?

the thing is NK has been ramping up for years before Trump and not much has been done as the US were so far up China's arse they didn't care. Now Trump is getting the last stages, maybe he could handle it better, but the sanctions and comments at least show they are taking it seriously.

I may be old but, is it just me that finds a USA President putting out Twitter remarks worrying?
As I say, old but, seems a bit juvenile to me.
Open to "get up to date remarks etc" However, I find this shall we say, concerning.

They need to fight and get it out of their systems, no nukes, no troops and no fighter jets.

Just Trump vs Fatty, in the ring in a pay per view event, I would pay a few quid to watch that, it wont happen but please, somebody needs to do a spoof.

I would bet on Trump, KJU is a lot smaller and is massively overweight, despite being less than half Trumps age.

I'm really not sure, perhaps Trump isn't the best example.

The old model was that everything went through a layer of filters and was fine tuned until nothing was said. At least we now know what he thinks. We may not like it, but if you want to know what the president is actually thinking (as opposed to what the state department want him to think) look on Twitter.

Problem is that this bloke can't shut up when a nutter calls him a donkey penis or whatever.
