There may definitely be some truth to this.

But in the past, we've had other boogeymen with WMDs to take care of first. So in this regard, Trump appears to be conforming if anything.
Isn't Trump himself now the bogeyman with WMD? Destabilising statements about NATO, dropping MOABs on Afghanistan, one China policy, threatening the N. Koreans, sending a nuclear submarine to Busan and a carrier strike group to the region,

American foreign policy has been much more destabilising than anything the N Koreans have done. Imagine if a nuclear power positioned weapons next to the USA, say to Cuba? That could spark up all kinds of tensions.
Regarding your initial question: depending on perspective, sure. I was commenting on US foreign policy.

Trump appears to have fallen in line, though it may still be a bit early to call it that way.

And that came about because (partly or wholly, opinions differ) the US had stationed Jupiter missiles in Turkey and Italy. These were removed as well as the Russian missiles in Cuba.

With all the current antics... The event the other week with 'footage' of an American city being bombed & now the fake american warships being blown up... Do you think the NK populace actually think this stuff is real? has pieboy convinced himself this stuff is actually happening?

People keep saying (fatty/pieboy/etc) but the fact reminds , he has a huge army and lots of nasty (chem/bio) weapons including nuclear warheads , at some point soon he'll be able to send one into London or the Whitehouse , it's not a joke and there is zero the USA or anyone else can do to stop him , or they would have .

Maybe the answer lays in simply giving the fat fker lots of cash in exchange for his nukes.

On the contrary I think they could stop him in about ten seconds flat but they choose not to because of the resulting humanitarian crisis.

I don't know too much about the actual military capabilities but everything I have read makes it seem like it's him with a cap gun vs say the US with a .44 magnum

As I mentioned previously, if he was as half as dangerous as being reported action would have been taken. He a loud mouth irritant but very useful for Trump to use as a world "bogey man" to drum up support. Notice how he know doesn't mention ISIS as much as before the election, no doubt his generals have told him he has no chance of defeating them......

Harris suggested that the North’s accelerating missile tests indicated that Pyongyang will at some point be able to launch a nuclear intercontinental ballistic missile at the United States unless stopped by an external force, diplomatically or militarily.

More Twaddle.

He (they) 'weren't' as dangerous. Their conventional army/air force/navy was defeatable without too much loss or damage to friendly nations and forces, so that's why he/they were left to shoot their mouths off.

NOW, things are changing rapidly. He HAS a nuclear weapon, he IS aquiring the means to deliver one on the end of a missile, AND he's threatening to do so.

Action can't be taken until the usual methods have been exhausted, which they very nearly have. If we don't act soon it'll be too late.

I don't know why they don't put a press embargo in the US and stop public press reports any any response to NK. Obviously do what they do behind the scenes but lack of fear and press in the US along with correspondence would have a big impact on NK and its people.

A joke that is around 2 years away from having nuclear capability. Not quite the joke he was 2 years ago.

Probably more scared of Trump waking up bored one morning and thinking 'fk it, where's that big red button...'

And when that happens, I'll be making another appearance.

it just shows how useless the UN is when a little st like this can threaten the entire world's future.
He can threaten all he likes but he can do fk all to carry the threat through. Everyone knows he can do fk all about it including the Fat Lad him self.

I can threaten to nuke Australia and have only slightly less chance of doing it than Fat Boy Kim.
You forget that Kimmy baby won loads of olympic gold medals and can fly a MIG 29 and got bored with golf because he could only score holes in one....

We're talking about the NK Superhero No 1 here.

I'd be a bit careful about slinging insults around, if I were you.
Yes but he does have a large conventional army, and if he does decide to he can do a lot of damage in a very short time with it.
I read an estimate of 150,000 SK casualties in one hour if he decides to let his artillery loose over the DMZ.
Yes he will get slaughtered pretty quickly afterwards, but in the meantime he can cause a lot of casualties without any nukes at all.
Why would he do it then? If he is anywhere near rational then he won't because he'd lose. If he isn't rational and believes it's a viable course of action then why doesn't he just do it?

He already has nuclear capability.

He's still a joke.

North Korea has been left alone for too long and have developed with help from China and others.
How can it be that the world despises it as a state but turns a blind eye to them exporting government "employed" slaves to the likes of Dubai and Saudi Arabia for cheap labour on construction sites etc.
While governments and business make money from them on the one hand they want to limit them with the other.Politics now is full of to many people with a big ego and something to prove.
