Kicked the fking s chair out from under him. Zero tolerance. No matter what she's done, unless you're being physically attacked you do NOT put your hands on a woman. fking oily .

That would be plain stupid. Clearly you have little experience of calming anything down.
I would go for something like, "Excuse me, can I help?" Firmly, but with open body language and directed at the man. Anything to make him pause and break the current motions...
Surely you would have run up and called him a beastly misogynist.

By sheer coincidence I was parked on their street today. A few photographers loitering outside their door hoping to get photos.

Can't believe Lawson and Saatchi paid £12m for it.

It probably wasn't chance she was being followed that day, someone probably tipped the press of of an arguement or problems, so she gets a photographer following her at every stage in the hope of getting a picture of them looking unhappy or something so the press can run a rumours of problems type story. Or am I a little cynical of our press ?

Pretty outdated viewpoint you have there, in these enlightened times there should be equality for men and women. Nobody should be subject to violence.

BTW, there are some horrible pigs of women out there that are bullies too.

Do you really not understand? Throttling your spouse is not on, whether male or female.

If Saatchi does this in public you have to wonder what he'd do behind closed doors.

Me and my mate was walking back from the pub, heard shouting at a house we was walking past, all of a sudden my mate goes tearing up the garden path and whacks a bloke in the doorway, next thing this blokes mrs is on my mates back whacking him with the heel of her shoe! Poor mates head was cut to bits with quite a lot of blood

I honestly had no idea what was going on but after lots of persuading this woman to calm down and to get off my mate, I asked him what happened. He said he heard the shouting, looked up the garden path to see this bloke bouncing this woman's head off the hallway wall and slapping her!!

I thought he'd done a good deed by helping out but the stream of swear words, abuse and threats of calling the police for beating up her husband proved otherwise.

Wouldn't stop me or him intervening again but still a weird situation none the less
