I will grant you there is a strong secular and athiest bias on here and disdain for all religons. But singular hatred towards islam, not much that I have seen!
Agreed - Islam gets no more or less comment then any other religion on here unless there has been any violence by members of such group.

Ah....
I think that when religions poke their heads above the parapet PH takes a shot at it.
The more frequently that a religion does this the more incoming flack that it will get.

One religion just hasn't figured out how to keep it's head down so therefore gets shot at more frequently.

Apparently the two suspects arrested are Ukrainian University students on work experience.

Times have certainly changed since I was at Uni.

Interesting observation this.

Just as a possible inflammatory and not meant to sound how some will inevitably take it and in turn respond to it comment.

Is this because that out of the many other religions/faiths/doctrines/dogmas etc Islam is so very prevalent and has as one of its fundamentally core objectives the conversion of as I believe they are called "non-believers'?

I have always personally thought it one of the more obvious indicators of the followers of said dogma that they so vociferously defend any and all slights no matter how irrational that defence in logic terms may be towards said dogma because they are so entrenched in that core objective of defence and conversion.

If my son was parroting moronic and bigoted statements like that I'd probably try to educate him out of it rather than boasting on the internet, but there we go.
Do get over yourself you sanctimonious prat. I:

(a) did 'correct' him, but not because you recommend such, but because he was wrong to have said it or to have picked it up in the first instance (and not just the religion to nation transposition)

(b.) was following and remarking on the pr disaster that these events - in either direction - are causing, a thread on the thread, and the seeming inability of the muslim community at large to do enough to over-turn widespread views extremist actions by a minority in their midst create

(c) so, was not "boasting" of it.

Almost every time I see your username attached to a post I expect some holier than thou over-extrapolation used to twist and rubbish another post(er) or to build your 'right-on' political stance. Did I mention that you are a prat?

Aren't you the poster who outed me as a "supporter of all things socialist" or something. I'd be thoroughly disappointed if you thought me anything other than a prat.

Congratulations; rest assured I do think of you as a well-proven prat.

On the other hand, I do think of you as "other than (just) a prat"; it's that prat is the kindest view I can form of you.

One of the two Ukranian blokes has now been arrested for the murder of the pensioner killed in Birmingham on his way back from mosque.

Wow what have these people been to? The thought did cross my mind when they were arrested for the bombing, in the same area as the murder.

All very suspicious.

yes, mo, maybe I don't know, but I thought the murder of the old man was a random act by a stranger or maybe some racially motivated attack but know it pops up in a anti terrorism investigation

Strange. Who would have thought some Ukrainian students would be behind a murder and a bombing here ? Probably not what most were expecting.
Here's Zygalski's original thread about the murder.

So the Muslamics didn't actually plant the bomb themselves... Oh bugger. Reading posts on here, I was convinced they planned it themselves seeing that the moved prayers forward blah blah blah and all that.

My liberal self was a little bit ashamed of what I shouted back at the TV.

Disgusting; are only white people not allowed to feel safe?

Yes, I have sympathy. Your comment is downright racist; would you say that to your boss/equivalent or just hide behind a keyboard?

Oh I see now. I was thinking that the old man must have been involved somehow or may even have tried to stop them. I thought it was strange that the two became linked.

Ah Zygalski, such a balanced condidered debater, the argument now will be that it was a racist attack and we are all racist <ukranians being white>, even though its some imported scumbags who are doing this stuff <allegedly>!
Yes, it does look like several people are almost going to be rather disappointed in that it doesn't look like it was knuckle dragging, union flag wrapped , Sun reading EDL member.
The bizarre idea it was Muslims bombing themseleves in a clever PR campaign has equally been rather shot down too.

I think it's spreading; half an hour ago my eight year old piped up (out of the blue) with "The most evil nation in the world is Islam."

Didn't get it from me - we'd actually been talking about volcanoes - wasn't watching news etc. just playing on his Tablet. Possibly heard at school? I suspect your religion has a pr job to attend to.
It's sad that he said that, but I'm glad you did the right parental thing and corrected him.

As for my religion having a PR job to attend to, I'm not sure why the Catholic Church is responsible for your son saying this, but I'll pass on your feedback when I'm next at church (probably the day I get married).
