I was down on the South Coast last week and popped into a fishmongers in Selsey and a burley looking chap behind the counter had a ‘Vote Tommy’ t-shirt on. I don’t think he will get in but I certainly don’t see him losing his deposit. Oldham is starting to look like Northern Ireland.

Lots and lots of mill towns with high Muslim populations and high levels of white scroungers keen to blame everything on them. Not sure there’s enough of them to outweigh the more sensible types though. It’ll all be down to turnout on the day. Traditionally that’s very low, so could work in his favour. Unlike the Catholic Church there is no specific leader and different groups interpret the religious texts as they see fit. Surely one mans radical is another mans normal ?
