Quick to mention Robinson's previous EDL links yet no mention of the other group calling itself the Muslim Defence League the BBC story reads like Robinson's mob were doing the majority of the unrest when both sides are equally to blame.
Ive reread the article and I genuinely can’t see how you could think that the BBC are apportioning blame more to one side than the other.

Here is the Manchester local version of events.

Which appears to be rightly critical of both sides and states that ‘ill informed internet speculation is not helping”. Wonder if they’ve been reading your posts?

New to PH?
No, I have been a reader for about 10 years thought it was time to register.
How are the BBC twisting what happened?

Should the BBC have name checked both the MDL and the self proclaimed leader of the Yellow Jackets UK, who was also involved in the scuffles?

It was his event.

Seems pretty neutral to me and reflects what can be found on social media.

Yes that Manchester news link is critical of both sides, I doubt they are ready my posts.

You would think so, they managed to get the EDL reference in.

It was Tommy's event. A brief about him is relevant. If there's an identifiable 'high-profile' counter-protester, then they may mention their background.

If they were being honest they should have done, TR has been doing his little campaign tour for a few weeks now. He turns up with his van does his little speech and moves on with no problems usually. The only problems happen is when others have been violent and attacked him as in this case.

A large group of hooded masked men turned up and started throwing bricks and bottles. How equal blame can be portrayed is beyond me.
But you won't get headlines like "Tommy Robinson's political event violently attacked".

The argument seems to be moving from “The Beeb weren’t fair and impartial “ to “They were too impartial because it was the OTHER lot’s fault”. Damned if they do, damned if they don’t.

FWIW I think you may be right, the pictures of the Anti-TR mob, with their hoodies and faces masked etc don’t look like a peaceful bunch of demonstrators. Doing what they appear to have done is grist to the Rebel Media mill and TR’s narrative. Ignoring him would achieve their aims more efficiently.

Mainstream endorsement of violence towards those on the campaign trail (and subsequent backtracking) or a harmless bit of fun just for their own PR?

It's obviously just an attempt at humor so would be hypocritical to have a go at it.

With this lack of condemnation of these politically motivated attacks I hope they don't start to cry when it starts to become the norm and others start getting the same treatment.

You do need to ask who do these big companies let loose with their social media accounts sometimes?

Do you ?

Have you ?

The answer will be their social media teams who report up through to the head of comms.

Assuming that tweet wasn’t pulled and was merely added to to as shown then it would seem senior management at BKUK has no issue with it or the people running the social accounts.

Hope that helps smile

This video makes it more than clear what happened yesterday, and who the perpetrators unsurprisingly were. Here is the virtue-signallers' chance to demonstrate that they care more about fact than emotion, and that they are not in fact selling out their nation just to look trendy, by watching the whole video and then being honest with themselves, and everyone else, about what is really going on here.

"How DARE you call our ideology hostile?! Just for saying that on a political campaign, we're going to attack women, children and police with bricks en masse!" Why is it that we thick, toothless knuckle-draggers, none of whom have any qualifications whatsoever, are the only ones who can see the basic contradiction there?

It’s a Tommy video, made, edited and designed by him and his team to deliver a message that supports them and nobody else.

The reality is that a bunch of thuggish dicks decided to go and attack another bunch of thuggish dicks. One of them is trying to present themselves as a victim, maybe even virtue signalling his position as the poor person in all of this.

I’m just glad that I actually get to use my vote in the NW for the first time ever in aEuropean election to vote for someone other than him. He’s certainly encouraged a significant number locally to vote for someone / anyone other than him. Still, I’m sure some will think they’re voting for him to replace Theresa May.

I wasn't there so can't profess to know what actually happened. Certainly not from Rebel Media anyway.
