EDL boss Tommy Robinson again proves his stupidity

Because I am still forming those thoughts and prefer not to go off half cocked, so chime in on these threads gathering more information.
You had some strong views in your first few posts when you joined according to your history about ISIS and people taking photos with Tommy. Just wondering why you’re still struggling to make your mind up on any of it after 12 months. Surely you must have a couple of opinions to share that aren’t thinly veiled. Oh you're keeping track?
I have opinions.
I prefer not to share them very forthrightly because for one thing they are not firmly formed opinions but impressions, and for another because as I think this thread amply shows any slight hint of thinking maybe there are two sides to this type of story is enough for some people to get aggressive
As for the opinions you seem to think I have you're doing little to dissuade me of them.

What is your summary view of SYL/TR and what do you think he stands for ?

Why in the world would anyone answer if they were pro TR? What would be the point? It would be exactly like another forum I was on, any deviation from the regulars pov and it would be like hounds on a fox. In the end it just becomes a slap on the back thread as no one with an opposing view bothers. What is your summary view of SYL/TR and what do you think he stands for ?

I just had a look back at your original position, as it seemed strange that you couldn’t form an option in 12 months. I have opinions.

Not sharing opinions, but implying them is a classic sign of the way pro-Tommy posters approach it, so you can see my cynicism. I’m giving you all the benefit of the doubt, but you’re just acting more and more like like a Tommy fan.
Just as an aside, if I only think you have a set of opinions, then you shouldn’t need dissuading from them, unless I’m actually right about your opinions.

Came rapidly to the conclusion, again, that you probably meant here in your former guise

Any views on why a lot of “new” posters, on a car forum, gravitate to TR threads so quickly?
Bearing in mind a few of the former vociferous regulars appear to have been banned.
Are you a mod?Bearing in mind a few of the former vociferous regulars appear to have been banned.
I’d happily lay odds that you’ve been around this way before my friend but we won’t ever prove it.

Any views? Or is this going to be an exercise in obfuscation?

My first impression is of an angry bigot capitalising on prejudice to make a name, and probably some money for himself.
However on a closer look, especially at the response to his campaign it seems he has some sort of a valid point.
To summarise what I perceive that point to be in a few sentences:
There exists within Islam a strand of aggression and separatism which has created various problems for this and other western countries.
The police and other officials who are meant to deal with this are paralysed by fear of being called racist, and so prevented from doing so
Some significant number of non Muslims, most specifically the white, working class in areas closest to these problems, are quite angry about this and feel ignored and vilified for their views.
So, there's no Saint Tommy, there's no global conspiracy to make Britain an Islamic state. There is a social and cultural problem being exacerbated by official incompetence. The anger this has caused has found a voice in the least ridiculous person who is prepared to stick his neck out and talk about it.

Well I am so grateful you gave me the benefit of the doubt.
Perhaps I'm a slow learner, but 12 months casual observation of an evolving, multifaceted and deep rooted problem is not necessarily enough to form a strong opinion.
As to your aside: It's pretty obvious you think I'm a secret Tommy fan or a fake account promoting Neo Nazism.

SYL is “the least ridiculous person” prepared to speak up about the perils of Islamic extremism and separatism? My first impression is of an angry bigot capitalising on prejudice to make a name, and probably some money for himself.
