Nothing says innocent than silence for the past year.

By that definition a 14 year old female in France is a woman, yet when she flies to England she becomes a child. And an English female of 16 is a woman, but when she is on holiday in Turkey she is a child (if she had gone to Portugal instead she would still be a woman).

17 year old Virginia Giuffre was a child in the USA, yet when she got off the plane in the UK she was a woman.

Me, I am sticking to MILFs to be on the safe side.
Even with the MILF your still in trouble thanks to the consensual part, lack of that is..

So just to be really on the safe side, I'd stick to granny's with dementia if I were you.

No idea but I've always wondered if she's in Israel.

Legally.

Within the UK - and assuming PA didn’t know she was trafficked - is there any crime to defend?
Naturally there could be no law he has broken but his moral compass was so far off kilter he rightly deserves the public’s reaction.

Don't you wonder if the authorities in the US are investigating what he was doing when he stayed with Epstein in New York and other places over there? He may have broken US laws there.

Almost certainly not investigating, given how long ago it was and their statute of limitations. In any event, in New York, the age of consent is 17 so just on the age related matters not any crime. Again any moral issues are a different matter.

I have read that sex with a trafficked woman is a strict liability , doesn't matter if you knew that she was trafficked.

Not in the UK, we have no specific offence of having sex with a trafficked woman. In 2001 we didn't have trafficking legislation but we did have procuration which could apply, but the "Third Party" doesn't commit an offence. It also requires corroboration.

So in which case the worst case he is a sleazy old guy who likes “barely legal” girls. He is so embarrassed about it he then lied pathetically about it and also continued to meet up with a convicted pedophile.

Surely if he did break the law in that one US state he should simply never go there again and therefore avoid arrest.

He didn't meet with a convicted paedophile.

I’m not defending anyone - trying to get a clear understanding of the worst case for him which as others have pointed out he hasn’t committed any crime unless in that one IS state (but then one clearly scribed in these sort of things flagged the fact it’s so historic US law wouldn’t do much good ie little chance of it going further).

Prince Andrew won't be sentenced, Virginia Roberts will be killed off a la Kevin Spacey's accusers and this whole fiasco will be buried in the media and will be forgotten about in a year's time. Justice will not be served.

You're still trying to peddle that pedantic sophistry?

He met with, partied with, and stayed with a man convicted of having sex with an underage girl.
Or are you going to deny that too?

It appears and I asked the question here what crime and law has he broken answer was none. Morally woeful and a liar and likes barely legal but that is it.

Prince Andrew will not be sentenced as he will not be arrested or charged so no trial to go on.

You can call it what you like, I call it accuracy.

Epstein was a convicted sex offender. He was not a convicted paedophile.

I do agree he won't be charged by the authorities.Hopefully he will be disgraced and is struck off the perks of being a royal.

Wow.
Investment banker, science patron, self-made billionaire, philanthropist and former math teacher Jeffrey Epstein can add a new title to his impressive resume – convicted sex offender.

The Manhattan moneyman appeared in a Florida courthouse today where he pleaded guilty to soliciting an underage prostitute, and immediately began serving an 18-month jail term, which will be followed by one year of “community confinement,” which is essentially house arrest.

As a result of the plea deal, Epstein, 55, will be placed on the national sex offender registry.
