Why just goes to show how batst crazy UKIP have become - jess always seems to come across (to me anyway) as the acceptable moderate face of the left - might not agree with her but she articulates her beliefs well and comes across as a reasonable pragmatic They don't come out of it very well
For a brief spell I was watching some of Sargon's videos on Youtube. He is one of those odd people who is just trying far too hard to be funny and controversial but is fundamentally just not funny, or even mildly interesting. Now he is going full on for a weird attempt at being a right wing Frankie Boyle but with all the humour taken out,
However you're 100% correct, some of the news coverage of him and that count Dankula fella is hilarious, like a right wing political version of Spinal Tap.
The best thing the left in this country can do is to let them have their free speech, a bigger pair of prize bell ends one couldn't invent, they are like the gift that will keep giving when it comes to making the fringe right in this country look like complete idiots.

Just so I can understand this correctly because I must be missing something -
I couldn't give two poops about a failed political party or their attempts to stay relevant but what the hell is wrong when refusing to rape a woman is seen as wrong, WTF!
- Female MP says she gets threats of sexual violence on twitter
- Youtube guy in discussion with female MP says he wouldn't rape her - "I wouldn't even rape you" - his direct quote
- Media etc in an uproar because the Youtube guy says he won't apologise for saying he wouldn't rape a woman
I couldn't give two poops about a failed political party or their attempts to stay relevant but what the hell is wrong when refusing to rape a woman is seen as wrong, WTF!

Exactly how is saying you wouldn't rape someone a negative thing now in our warped society - are we suppose to be out raping women? Is that what the media are saying is the right thing to do now?

I'm not sure if you're being deliberately obtuse...I couldn't give two poops about a failed political party or their attempts to stay relevant but what the hell is wrong when refusing to rape a woman is seen as wrong, WTF!
He's implying that he's considered raping her but she's too ugly - a combination of threatening sexual violence as well as an insult.
In the grand scheme of things you could argue that threatening MPs like this is fairly minor but it does mark him as a bit of a IMO.

These comments drew flack. Some probably unpleasant. So she "did a Lammy" and conflated people disagreeing with her pov as an assault on being a woman
This led to Benjamins comments

I don't get why people are bordering making excuses for it.

So then lots of echo chamber replies but not a single reply stating why it's "bad" to say you wouldn't rape someone - there's some fked up people in this thread!
The answer is obvious, it's intended in the same way as "I wouldn't piss on you if you were on fire".ETA: Beaten to it with the exact same example.

I'm saying this is the whole story which for whatever reason the media don't mention. I certainly didn't know this was the case until it was mentioned elsewhere. Benjamin seized upon her comments and he obviously felt they demeaned male rights.
I don't think they are helpful, but they're not deserving of his unnecessary response. I don't think he should have said what he did.
Will it affect him in the long term? Who can say. For reference I don't think Frankie Boyle should have made comments about Jordans disabled son either. But I know some felt they were fine and that hasn't affected his career really. Don't bet against Benjamin being elected!
Mechan (he of the Nazi pug) on the other hand I have more time for.

The more you get outraged about peoples comments. The more people will push the envelope to out do each other in the offence charts.

rape is just a bit of banter, right?
Have you ever made a comment about "picking up the soap in prison"? Its a well known one, often used in humour. Sounds a lot like rape to me.

she can be a bit of an arse like many other politicians and gets plenty of flack for it , justifiably so much of the time.however i can't think of a single situation where that particular phrase would be acceptable.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iRWUsn4yyJI

what context ? have i to assume from his remark that while the politician in question isn't worth him raping others might be ? it was an utterly moronic thing to say. it isn't like phillips doesn't provide people with plenty of ammo to highlight her stupidity and hypocrisy on more than a few issues ffs.Gassing Station | News, Politics & Economics | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
