As there's another thread about the BBC with the same few people rehashing arguments on each side I thought I'd see how the wider PH feel. Hopefully its clear enough.

I don't pay. I don't own a television. I don't watch television live and don't watch it streamed. I prefer reading or the radio.

I stopped paying it a good year or two ago, don't miss it at all. Don't like a lot of British TV and really dislike just about every piece of BBC programming.

That could have been my answer, TV just isn't worth paying for.

yes

When visiting my parents and having the pleasure of live TV broadcasts, we realise just how bad British TV is.

We don't miss it at all. Far happier with the likes of Netflix smile

Not paid it for years and years, why would you. It would be like paying road tax when bigger better faster roads were available free of charge. You have to be a looney tunes if you pay for something that is available legally for free.

I dont pay for Sky because I think footballers are overpaid.

I dont pay the TV license because there are too many overpaid presenters and too much waste.

Thats great but you can get all the BBC stuff on iplayer without having to pay the licence fee. Its just a voluntary contribution by yourself.

The BBC is no longer fit for purpose.

Fortunately, it won't last much longer.

Climate change is so important that they have taken a decision to drop impartiality on the subject.

ISIS(L) are not quite so important, and so they cannot use the term "Daesh" to describe them. They might seem to be biased against them.

The Guardian said:
Letter had urged broadcaster to use term Daesh, but BBC head Tony Hall said it risked giving impression of support for group’s opponents.
