Incredible run of utter nonsense everywhere he pops up. If this is a thread for off the chart lefties with only a passing acquaintance with the real world, there's your mirror image.

I think this is less an example of "the left" being more intolerant and more just an example of so many people being incapable of reasoned argument. The trouble is you can't normally tell which camp someone falls into until you disagree with them.

I noticed this with Brexit. As a remainer I had discussions with leavers which taught me their considered opinions as to why, on balance, we'd be better off out of the EU.

I also met many ranting illogical types who would jump from "the immigrants" to "taking back control" and "sovereignty" without being able to describe what they meant by any of those terms/issues and got upset when I'd push for more detail or the logic behind their thinking.

I've never found the same problems with remainers unless we've been in a group discussion with a leaver and they reveal wether they can debate or just berate.

I guess this is why it's good to hang around with people of different views.

Well, the Jewish population there is far more dangerous and nasty than the lovely Free Palestine movement in Chicago which is closely associated with the LGBT movement in the City....Oh, hang on, here they are chanting death to Israel, death to the USA earlier this year. Not sure how these throbbers can claim that the flag is 'triggering' when their own behaviour is often pretty outrageous.

8 min video. A very good explanation of how the regressive left are moving the left side of mainstream politics away from liberal values and into intolerance

It's a good job most of the left aren't regressive then, isn't it?

It's unbelievably sad that decent people have to suffer vile abuse, simply because they are motivated to public service.

They should be applauded for their selfless contribution to our society, not hounded for some deranged disagreement with their ideology.

A proposed Parliament Square bronze statue remembering Margaret Thatcher is being reconsidered over fears of the cost of constant vandalism.

“We note that the statue of Nelson Mandela was erected only six years after his death, but that should not set a precedent, especially as Mandela was an entirely uncontroversial figure, respected throughout the world,” Lucy Peck wrote on behalf of the society.

Lol, what?

Not directly, but the left masses do close ranks against anyone who voices dissent or challenges whats percieved "left" in a way not dissimilar to religious hardliners, thus the regressive and fringe elements of the left have far more authority and voice within the group than their right-wing counterparts.

This looking to, and apologising for, the extremeties is why so many of the left cant see the normal people behind votes that dont go their way, and reduce everything to its extreme - for example voted brexit? You must be a vile racist. (Or bought vile racist propaganda)

People keep quoting that and it is still nonsense. The methods used and targets attacked determine if someone is a terrorist.

Terrorism: "the unlawful use of violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims."

In what way did Umkhonto we Sizwe ("MK") of which Mandela was a founding member, not fit that definition?

Even if you agree with the objective, you can't redefine terrorism to be a label only applicable to those whose aims you disapprove of. That is, of course, unless you are a politician, in which case you have a convenient additional classification for those who you consider to be dissidents rather than terrorists.

Maybe when the statue of Thatcher goes up they should take the one of Mandela down and put one of Pinochet up instead, given that he was the sort of terrorist that she approved of.

Yvette Coopers been in the news complaining about how Laura Kuenssberg is treated as sex doll.
Think that's what she's on about

http://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/uknews/labours-yvett...

I haven't digested it all yet but I'm sure its all very debatable and worthy. Thing is I can't help it I think Yvette I get images of Shami Chakrabarti and its a months therapy down the drain.
There's only so much eroticism one can handle talking of handles, love handles. Now DA's in my thoughts
