I can sort of understand the issue in the link you provide as, while it's not ideal, the pushchair user was already on the bus and therefore has a sort of priority (just as it wouldn't be reasonable to expect anyone currently on the bus to get off and make space - essentially 'first come, first served').
Agree with what you're saying but I'm a bit confused.

Untakenname says that Old Woman was already on the bus but had to make way for "covered lady"?
I was referring to the link he provided.

The "I am going to donkey kick you" did make laugh. She must be some kind of martial arts shaolin monk ninjitsu.

WTF is a donkey kick anyway? Is she going to stand on her hands and kick backwards?

Public transport entertainment, it comes free with every ticket.

I've put it on youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ekj6msav4fU

tbh I don't think the bus driver was originally going to let the second pushchair user on as he didn't open the rear doors and she jumped on the front and tapped in then brought the buggy on via the front doors.

Are you sure it was a wheelchair? Wheelchair users ALWAYS have priority over pushchair/pram users. It's usually written on the bus somewhere.
Was a wheeled zimmerframe type of device that the user could be seated on, even if it was a wheelchair it seems they wouldn't have priority sadly http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-leeds-3037644...
I am amazed this was allowed to happen and am even more amazed that sitting there and recording it was your response to the situation - could nobody have offered her a seat? I'm pretty sure that those frames can be folded down.

Especially when sitting in the priority seating bit...

Why did no one offer the old dear their seat?

The only excuse I can think of here is that the zimmer frame would still be in the way so regardless of the where the old lady might be, there would still be a blockage in the pram area.

The man that was stood up talking to the driver had tried with no avail for a couple of minutes, the rest of the bus vocally agreed with him. I only started recording when the bus driver opened up his cubicle door as I thought it may kick off.
And that is the issue, you only started recording when you thought it would kick off. hmmm.

Possibly. I said as much in my first post, but without seeing it it's impossible to say.

Fair play to the bus driver for sitting there calmly. I feel LBC is stirring on this one - no doubt James O'Brien said it was due to Brexit, or Katy Hopkins.

Shocking and disgraceful behaviour. Sooooo much anger and hostility! Unbelievable. Fair play to the guys who sorted him out and managed to diffuse the situation.

I'm not sure where the "stirring" is. They've reported what happened and, given that it's on video, it's hard for people to justify it (normally we'd get the "ah yes but we need to see the video for the half hour leading up to the event in case he was provoked etc etc".).

The guy's a nob - pure and simple.

I think we're in agreement on this bit at least. As a regular bus w@nker (though I tend to get on nicer buses these days) I used to see this stuff with alarming regularity - often but not always xenophobic/racist language involved but I feel it's reported with an 'angle' nowadays like the spike in hate crime after the referendum which was debunked yet still widely reported.

I think it went beyond the guy being a knob. He clearly has some brain problem.

Anybody else notice a bit of a Saffa accent?

Watched it. That goes far, far beyond being a knob, he has aggression/psychological issues. Nice to see Jocky Wilson is still active.
