I didn't know about his mates posting it
watch the speech at the event and it is at the start, he said he was on plane so could not do anything about the video, his mate spread it publicly and as it went viral that's how the Police came across it.....And in fairness to the Police if Dankula did not want it out in the public then he knew it was possibly a bit far.
He said he got off the plane and it had gone viral and it was too late to stop it.....
He is perfectly free to do stuff in his own home....i could sit here now at my laptop and do a Nazi salute... just did... and so far...no one has come to arrest me...
Now if i filmed myself doing that and put it on facebook.... well, it was a joke...but still it could go down very wrong...
The thing that caught out dankula was putting it on social media and frankly i don't blame the police for not knowing he was a comedian...

Not quite, he posted it to his public YouTube channel and someone then posted a link to Reddit where it went viral. This happened while he was out of the country so he didn't know about it until later. And in fairness to the Police if Dankula did not want it out in the public then he knew it was possibly a bit far.

Who posted the video? makes no difference to the fact that the police have made a big mistake and the courts have carried it on. A little bit of reaearch into what it was all about would have solved everything, the police could have compensated the man and the courts could have been carrying on with business as normal....perhaps this is good business for the courts, easy money
while I deplore racism and do not believe for a second that Tommy Robbinson is all about freedom of speach. I watched the video (last week only) and you have to ask wtf really don't like it don't watch.
I don't like klu Klux klan rallys so you know what never been to one. Also Antifa seem somewhat extream so I have not watched there media.
This guy was a dick but so what.

Thought I’d post this in here.
Anyone who denies, let alone mocks, the Holocaust is a fool and a stty person however to convict her just because what she sang could ‘grossly offend' someone is wrong imo.
Why are the police, CPS and courts wasting their time over st like this? It’s not as if we’re living in an era of plentiful resources for such agencies.

Because a line must be drawn somewhere. I doubt anyone has been able to avoid the awful rise of anti-Semitism in the UK that has been highlighted over recent months. Folks may not agree with this in isolation however enough really is enough now. I hope there are many more that get convicted and publicly shamed. The money is still coming in £191,956 of £100,000 goal

Do you get the feeling that the CPS wished they had never started this process. I firmly believe he got such a small fine with the intentions and hopes of just making the whole issue go away quietly.
It has back fired and now with the appeal rejection and subsequent court cases for none payment of fine (if he chooses this route(I think he will)) it’s going to just keep generating more and more press about it.
I’m not a big fan of Frankie Boyle and some of his jokes. I wonder where these type of comedians who push the boundaries are going to go. What’s to stop someone complaining about them.

A paragraph from his appeal rejection letter:
Appeal Rejection Letter said:
Likewise the appeal against sentence is not arguable; this was a deeply unpleasant offence in which disgraceful and utterly offensive material was very widely distributed by the appellant. This was to the considerable distress of the community in question and - just as disturbingly - to the apparent approval of a large number of persons who appear to share the appellant`s [sic] racist views. Indeed, it must be observed that in the circumstances the appellant was fortunate that the learned sheriff was not considering custody as an option. I also refer to the sheriff`s [sic] Report at paragraph 83 where he deals with the plea in mitigation.
He charitably describes this as `unusual` [sic] On my reading it appears to be wholly improper. It involved an attack upon the bona fides of the police and prosecution; an apparent refusal by an officer of the court to accept the verdict of that court; an apparent attempt to intimidate the court in the sentencing process by reference to a publicly funded appeal; expressions of personal views on the outcome by the solicitor whose professional duty was clearly confined to submissions in fact and law; and an apparently enthusiastic endorsement of the appellant`s [sic] defiance. For an officer of the court to engage in such behaviour is at best unprofessional and improper and would certainly merit a professional complaint. Indeed for my part I consider the solicitor was fortunate not to himself require representation on the matter of contempt.
