Charles Kinsey, was trying to get his 27-year-old patient to return to a treatment facility when police arrived in response to reports of a man threatening to shoot himself.
It's only right and proper that the correct process is followed when a man is illegally threatening to shoot himself.

The police are the only people allowed to shoot you.

I'm laughing, but this is utterly tragic. I've no idea what the hell is going on in the USA any more. Are they putting drugs in the coffee and donuts?

Same as it ever was, but the victims have smartphones now.

He was 'armed' with a toy truck and had a mental health worker with him.

The American police certainly aren't doing themselves any favours at the moment...

He should have just done what he was told and then he wouldn't have got shot, would he! Why can't these people just follow orders by the police? If you comply then you don't get shot.

That's the usual response to this sort of thing, right?

Regrettably, I'm sure you are right. I do firmly believe society and democracy are changing as technology and the internet make knowledge more freely available.

hang on, the coloured chap is a health worker doing what he's told
The other guy was the mentally affected one holding a toy truck.
The guy that did what he was told and informed the cops about what his patient had in his hands got shot.

There's no excuse here for that.

Absolutely insane, it would be unbelievable if it weren't for the video footage. No idea how the Police expect to get out of this one but I'm sure they'll manage it.

Yep due process must be followed, 2 months paid holiday then, grand jury by his mate the prosecutor and back to work.

It opens rational peoples eyes to whats been going on off camera for the past few hundred years.

The American police certainly aren't doing themselves any favours at the moment...
Not sure people realise it was the health worker who was shot, not the patient?

i think they were shooting at the other guy because he had something in his hands and would not comply( because hes obviously a patient) they had reports he had a gun and was going to shoot himself.

they just missed him and hit the health worker.

nobody will care that they shot at an unarmed other guy though.

training issue not a race one.
