US Police Shoot Unarmed Man With His Hands Up

Are we ignoring that the guy who was shot said "I'm not pulling it out"?
Come on! That's like saying 'cheques in the post', 'of course I didn't do it', and 'I promise, not in your mouth'. People lie.I'm not saying the cop was right, not at all, but to be reaching for ANYTHING when a US cop is pointing his gun at you is mental. Utterly mental!

How many times did the cop say, "Don't reach for it", or "Don't pull it out"?
When you ignore those kind of instructions, in that kind of situation, the outcome is predictable.
If he had a CCW he should have been aware of precisely what his actions should have been.
He got the first bit right (telling the cop he was carrying), but got everything thereafter very wrong.
If he was the kind of person intent on shooting the cop would he have bothered to declare that he had a gun? When you ignore those kind of instructions, in that kind of situation, the outcome is predictable.

You make a very good point, I can't imagine anyone that was considering shooting anyone else telling them that they had a gunUnfortunately many people don't see it this way and I am miffed as to why this is the case

Seems like a massive overreaction from the officer - swearing on approach to the vehicle, then nearly strangling the guy by trying to drag him out without undoing the seatbelt.

Strangely seems the officer failed to mention the reason the accused couldn't get out the car was due to the seatbelt still being done up.. http://www.gomn.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/ant...

No doubt the guy isn't an angel, but I don't see that as being an acceptable arrest method.

American cops shoot unarmed Australian woman in her pyjamas for approaching the Police car she called.
They cannot use the excuse she was only black this time, so apparently they're scared of fireworks.

A cop kills a sobbing, unarmed, inebriated, and terrified man who was doing his best to follow the officer's confusing instructions.

If you skip to 4 minutes you'll see somebody's son crying in fear and crawling on the floor towards the cop before the cop shoots him several times.

Hard to believe that the officer has been cleared. Utter, utter murderer.
Why does america allow this to happen? The fact the cop shot for or five rounds at a man on the floor that is obviously inebriated shows me that this cop is out of control and shouldn't be trusted with a water pistol let alone a high powered rifle. To give a drunk multiple instructions like that is a total travesty, to act like your in Iraq dipuring the war and you suspect the guy has murder in mind is disgusting.

Appalling by the cop (Brailsford). What sort of communication / instruction was that? If you skip to 4 minutes you'll see somebody's son crying in fear and crawling on the floor towards the cop before the cop shoots him several times.

Why would he have the suspect (Shaver) to move towards him when he could have him in the prone position with his arms out in front?
This is why, unfortunately, Brailsford was acquitted at court. Shaver reached back towards his waist which gave him the belief (or at least he claimed to have) that he had a gun.
