Some are risible, but a lot are very fair and reasoned criticisms. 472 comments on there. Not many tweets get that sort of response and most of them were not complementary of the approach of the police, even if the intent was appreciated.

They are now threatening to look at any hateful comments and take action if they think it’s necessary.

So they post something questionable up on social media inviting people to report more non-crimes. Some folks then go a bit ott in the comments section and the police then threaten them with being reported for a hate incident. Great way of boosting the numbers I guess.
