What has coronavirus (which I’ve assumed is what you refer to) got to do with any of this?
Coronavirus is just one of the more important challenges I had in mind.

A bunch of luvvies getting bent out of shape because one of their number dares to think differently from the herd and say so must number amongst the most trivial of the issues confronting us all, I'd suggest.

Maybe, but the idea that all of other life and actions should stop dead because it’s not part of some crisis is somewhat deluded don’t you think?

It might seem like a trivial issue to you but clearly to those whom it actually directly concerns, it is not.

Whom are these luvvies you speak of?

Seems to me that a person or persons whom are part of a bigger organisation have used an official medium for an unofficial personal opinion against someone whom has subsequently mounted a legal bid. The abusers of the medium have resigned (rightly) and their superiors have apologised on behalf of the wider organisation and settled the dispute out of court.

Pretty standard I’d say, but don’t let that get in the way of your attempt to fly your tribal colours.

Your analysis is not quite correct: they've actually resigned because they don't agree with the issue of the apology, not because they accept that they did anything wrong.

I hadn't suggested that the world should stop spinning. But what a bunch of actors think about the political views of another actor (or indeed about any other matter) is surely a matter of such trivial importance it is not worth wasting much thought over?

.... says someone who came here to comment about it biggrin

I’m not sure what your point is ... we shouldn’t be talking about it, or they shouldn’t be tweeting about it?

Similar on Womens Hour just now. 'Where are the women'? You would think that the time for scoring points on diversity / inclusivity / equality, is not during a national emergency.

Indeed, right now bbc news has a leading woman expert giving advice but I guess she’s not a politician so doesn’t count

Would I want priti giving a briefing?

Sod that! I'm more than slightly worried that when martial law is declared, Priti Patel will be put in charge eek

Women have so much more representation than men they need to wind their necks in

BBC news has been 90% women victims and experts this morning. I’ve quit LinkedIn but I wager today there are more women in work awards
