Hang on, I thought Macron was the French Obama and saviour of Europe hehe
But is already less popular than Trump, or even Hollande was after a similar period.

If you expect nothing substantial to be achieved, you will probably not be disappointed, except for a continuous drizzle of strikes and disruption.

And yet... I think it would have been exactly the same outcome had Fillon not been caught with his hand in the till.

Step 1) Vote Macron in.
Step 2) Complain about Macron.

No sympathy I'm afraid.

They are rioting in France again.

“Two France fans die while celebrating as violence erupts after Les Bleus’ final victory

Chaos as widespread looting and rioting mars victory”

Two dead - although they appear to be "accidents".

The French do like a bit of rioting/ disorder though.

Some opportunist looting also appears to have occurred in Paris.

In Marseille it appears to have been " Our team won ! I know, let's set fire to our own community !". Marvellous.

No ambulances appear to have been harmed though. Which is nice.

What a bizarre story from France this is. One of Macrons’s personal bodyguards decided to pose as an anti-riot police officer just so he could beat up some protesters. And when his bosses found out they did nothing.

“Mr Macron had come under fire after Le Monde newspaper revealed his office had briefly suspended the bodyguard for beating the protester and posing as a police officer almost three months ago, but did not inform law enforcement authorities.”
