A few days ago

One woman decided to invite a group of refugee children to their family's residence. It ended with her 14-year-old daughter being raped in her girls room by a 25-year-old Arab man. But the rapist "may" is not expelled, the prosecutor claims.

If the migrants have such sums to spend on getting here, why on earth do they need/want to come here!

final year of their medical degree of course, the choice of what to specialise in?

Ah, the joys of discourse with Kipperteers.
Shut up. They never should have allowed the situation to escalate to the point of an innocent man being killed. They have blood on their hands, along with your beloved EU!

Because the UK is the golden ticket. Don't believe what the media says, it's mostly bullst written by those with a liberal agenda.

Europe is a very bigoted and racist place, it's extremely hard, almost impossible, for many of these refugees to ever expect to have a decent life. Whereas the UK is a lot easier for them to fit in, legally or illegally, and offers a lot more opportunities to make money.

TBF, the Dutch seem to have controlled things much more robustly. Granted, no defence is perfect, and perhaps the volumes of traffic to UK from Rotterdam are lower, but they do seem to be much more determined in their efforts.

There is something half-arsed and hapless about the way the Calais situation has developed.

Nothing to do with it being the closest point to the UK then?

Maybe, but the plan is to get into vehicles not swim across.

I saw a news report on my mobile phone news feed the other day that said all EU media companies have been told to "not create hysteria" and "tone down" the level of reporting regarding migrant flows in to the EU.
They say it's a 'migrant crisis', but it seems obvious that it's being allowed deliberately.

Yeah, I doubt crossing time is a key concern.

Not when they've navigated all of the way from Africa or the Middle East, through Europe to the port, no.

If I was going to spend time in the back/hanging underneath of a lorry I'd want it to be as short a time as possible.

Then why not go over there and help them instead of handwringing on here day after day?

Or do you prefer to piss the bed every night, panicked 'cos you're surrounded by racists?

What facts? An article from a year ago and some pictures from your personal agenda-file.
So there are no attacks on cars and lorries in Calais and nobody has died as a result of them?

There are no adults pretending to be teenagers seeking asylum?

Can you disprove please?

Problem solved.

Now try replacing Saffas with any minority and imagine the outrage. :-)
