You can go on about costing forever. You either run a decent health service and social care or you find any excuse not to.
Labour aren't planning to spend more than the Tories on the NHS according to the IFS, and the Tories have grasped the nettle on social care, despite getting roasted about it.

Anyone that repeats the nonsense about the 'bedroom tax', clearly isn't understand in the facts about spending and affordability!

Here's a Guardian leader from back in the 1990s. Says it all really.

Corbyn's "lack of wider political and moral judgment" has survived well, so has he - the surprising thing is that thirty percent up of the adult voting population haven't notived or don't care.

"Mr Corbyn is a fool" in Guardian quotes should make a handy campaign slogan when electioneering restarts.

I predict some awkward questions for Mr Corbyn, Mcdonnell and Abbott over the next week or two.

Indeed. Will he condemn the group responsible for Manchester? My call on that is he will squirm and use word salad to avoid doing so. It's a serious political issue, or at least it should be.

Erm, that's why he's called a terrorist sympathiser and not a terrorist.

This is hard work.
lol
x2. Dear God.

OK I've got it now

She did bad things but because she said sorry, it makes it OK? And she must have the support of Theresa May, even if it only tacit, because she is an elected Conservative council member.
He did nothing bad, but said he understood the reasons people did bad things?
No, I don't think you do. I know it was a sarky comment, but I think there is truth in what you say. You really don't get it.

In some parts of Northern Ireland, the peer pressure to be part of the cause was immense. If you weren't for them, you were against them - and woe betide you. If you didn't move away, your life could be hell.

I don't know her circumstances, but I'm sure that Corbyn had a 100% choice whether he supported PIRA - I'm not sure that she did.

Obviously, not everyone joined them, but if here friends were "in" and she wasn't, they wouldn't be her friends for long.

To become a whistleblower was the ultimate betrayal and her "sentence" will only be suspended. If things go back to the old ways, she will need to change her life and disappear, before she "disappears".

If a journalist asks him more than once with his handlers more than arms length away we might well get to see some more angry Corbyn.

That's the first thing I thought when I heard he'd said it was a terrible incident. He has really been a silly man over the last few years.

He is on BBC1 on Friday at 1900. I'm sure Andrew Neil will ask the question. It will be an election defining moment if he doesn't categorically state that all terrorism is bad and that has no place in a modern society.

If he tries to defend it in any way or is mealy-mouthed or evasive in his answer, he's toast.

He is already.

May's lacklustre interview last night is all but forgotten and today she's outside Downing Street looking ministerial and strong again.

Well, that's a far more informative answer - thank you. Yes, my comments were sarcastic

If you mean this https://www.theguardian.com/politics/video/2017/ma...

well talk about disingenuous. Exactly where does Neil Skewer TM? edited to add . didn't you, on another thread, say 'neil ripped her a new asshole' not much respect for TM then. Is RAF, a forces reference? If so, you realise you won't have one if Corbyn has his way.

I expect he will say its time to give Israel back the weans and stop interfering in Syria, or some such.
