Actually they seem to oppose every action to fix the damaged economy. They want to borrow more to give free stuff to everybody; I'd hardly call that growing the economy.
"Borrow more to give free stuff". Nope, borrow more for national infrastructure while it is historically cheap to do so. Seemed to work in the 50's. The Tories strategy of perpetual austerity and privatisation only lines other Tories pockets. A Labour government would not have returned such weak growth in Q1. That's dangerously close to a contraction.

They need a kick up the backside but instead we let them off the hook whenever they shift the blame.
How are they committed to growing anything? Everything we hear from them is anti business and anti wealth, that’s the opposite of wanting to grow. The only things they seem to be concerned with growing are the welfare state, taxes and debt.
Cannot see how anything will grow with Len pulling strings, McDonnell on a roll (if labour get in) and momentum willing to undercut anyone who doubts the sun shines out of a certain leaders rear end from within their own party let alone outside. Let alone the Abacus getting eleventy seven from 1+1.

I wonder what the secret plan is when he gets power.

And the plan to pay off the borrowing?

But history states otherwise. For every single Labour government we have ever had – from Ramsay MacDonald to Gordon Brown – has left an economic mess behind them. Every single time.

"My right hon. Friend is factually correct: every Labour Government have left office with unemployment higher than when they came to office."
Quite a success story Trolleys!

The Shadow Chancellor doesn't even seem to understand what borrowing is.

Easy. Growth will be so unbelievably massive as to render the original debt comparatively miniscule smile/s

We have to bear in mind that it's not actually borrrowing, it's issuing bonds. Corbyn has said that the secret is to own the bond in the first place.

As for " borrow more for national infrastructure while it is historically cheap to do so", how is the PFI hospital/school thing doing for the economy?

Also if we're only borrowing for infrastructure, where will the money come from for all the free stuff Corbyn has promised?

My all time favourite piece of graffiti was on a Labour election poster that read 'How Labour will cope'

Underneath, someone had written 'Next week: How to nail jelly to the ceiling'

He does. He won't pay people back. And he will steal off anyone with assets. Granted, it's a different definition of borrowing to most peoples', but it is a definition and he really is shadow chancellor of the exchequer. He is actually far more frightening a prospect than Corbyn - a truly vile man.

Q1 GDP growth at 0.1% announced today continues the Tories piss poor financial record. Looking forward to seeing how this one can be spun to #BlameLabour.
It can’t but would Labour have done any better?

The shadow chancellor has said he wants to bring down capitalism. How is that committed to getting the country growing again? Higher taxes, nationalising industries without proper compensation, punishing success etc

Labour championed Venezuela as socialism to aspire to, except that now it's in meltdown the shadow chancellor has said they we're not socialist enough.

They cale it "People's Quantitative Easing". The Government issues bonds to itself. It's printing money, which means inflation, serious inflation.
