If you are going to be interviewed by an experienced interviewer you won't get a more severe test than A.N., no matter what party you represent. All told, TM did alright in circumstances far more difficult than the transparent and predictable clowns in the EU. Once again, she showed just the right amount of courtesy and resistance to being justifiably badgered. And nary a swear word or impolite response in sight.

Will be interesting, but no matter, this has shown that May & her strong & stable rhetoric is all but GUFF, but is good at throwing the blame(Hammond) & U turns...Neil ripped her a new ahole & he did with ease!
Well there is a matter because I personally expect to see Andrew Neil expose Corbyn as the loathsome, hypocritical, terrorist sympathiser, trades union puppet that he actually is. The thought of the country being controlled by Marxist trades union leaders with their politics of jealousy and envy is something to get far more worked up over than an average performance by Theresa may on the Andrew Neil programme. I had hoped for better when Theresa May became Prime Minister but the last couple of gaffs on policy have left me wondering who on earth is advising May and her cohorts and whether any of them have any common sense
First came the attempt to change the level of NIC for the self employed which resulted in an embarrassing about face which Hammond had to claim responsibility for rightly or wrongly. This change was not mentioned in the 2010 manifesto and had not been debated in Parliament
Now we have the care fiasco of the Tory election manifesto, who on earth advising May thought they could unilaterally sweep aside the cross party agreed results of the Chilnot report with an ill advised inheritance grab policy let alone the resulting local government borrowing to make the idea viable
With so little skill in diplomacy and common sense on display I'm now wondering how much damage the same people can do to our Brexit negotiations
Hope things improve but not optimistic at the moment

The way she positions herself personally as supreme leader is irritating beyond belief. "My manifesto vs. the Labour Party manifesto", "My government", "me, me, me". Corbyn has zero credibility and is unelectable in my view but she is very annoying. Blair and Cameron both way better than this.
You are probably right but I still believe what I wrote.
I understood the head to head strategy of the tories against a questionable leader in Corbyn but they have blown it a bit with the social care car crash, so you would have thought they would change tack a bit and focus more on policies instead of the Supreme Leader stuff. Or maybe she just can't help herself?

Blair was the standout politician of his generation by a mile. Cameron was not, by a country mile.
Blair was certainly the master of spin over substance. Cameron was an amateur in comparison.deadslow said:
Yes, Cameron the Great Negotiator. No wonder the EU are killing themselves laughing at May's posturing; they know exactly how incompetent the present Tories are.
No, they know how incompetent Cameron was. May is a different person and has a much stronger mandate than Cameron had.DT398 said:

It's like a game of Top Trumps. They're playing on personal credibility knowing Corbyn scores a big fat 0 so however badly she scores, it won't be as bad.

Blair was the standout politician of his generation by a mile. Cameron was not, by a country mile."A Tory members’ group have released a song and accompanying video about Theresa May in an attempt to win over voters of Indian origin in the UK."
