Wonder if he knocks on the door and Donald says "Who?" "If he is selling double glazing, we already have some"
They spent time on stage together in the run up to the election and Trump seemed quite affable towards Farage tbh.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FpxYYiO2Jqw

I saw it, I was rather hoping it was purely for personal reasons on the Trump side and now he is finished the Farage and would cast away a hanger on.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FpxYYiO2Jqw

Nor I but it's a very interesting concept..........Farage US ambassador to the EU
Why can't he be our ambassador in Washington. I don't like him, but Trump loves him. Could be good for the UK. "He said: “If I am called of course I will help – I am interested in doing the best for the country.
“If it is Liam Fox, David Davis and the Prime Minister herself or even an underling, I will do what I can to help for the good of Great Britain.”

Setting aside the specifics of the person involved but does an ambassador or member of staff for the US Government not have to a US citizen?
I believe the US can allow dual nationality. Winston Churchill is a case in Point, albeit, his mother was American by birth. Its an interesting scenario. I think the Donald will keep Farage onside , and maybe give him a role, as an advisor maybe? . After all, Brexit has caused huge ructions in turning out the latterly disenfranchised to vote , both in the EU vote, and it surely appears, in helping The Donald to the Whitehouse. Its remarkable stuff, when looked out from outside the bowl, will be very interesting to see what turns out for Mr Farage.

Churchill is one of only eight honorary citizens of the United States, and it is more of gift than an actual meaningful title (like when celebrities can doctorates from universities). He was given it for actions during WW2 and not because he mother was American. I somehow cannot see Mr Farage getting the same. Its remarkable stuff, when looked out from outside the bowl, will be very interesting to see what turns out for Mr Farage.

Interesting, I did not know that, and yes, such a distinction could not be given lightly by any US President. Still , it will be interestin g to see what, if anything Mr Farage ends up with from the Trump camp. Other than that , where is Farge going to turn up next? France, Germany, The Netherlands even? Obviously, perhaps not quite the same, owing to language/cultural matters , but advisory? Would not surprise me.

That's a no from you then?
I would be amazed if there were not better candidates. alfie2244 said:
Depends from who's perspective, certainly nobody better from mine. Who else do you think will do what they can to help for the "good of Great Britain.” better if viewing from my perspective?
Oh dear. Farage acts for the good for Farage first and foremost. Nothing more, nothing less. So without out being able to name any of them, I am certain there are at least 10,000 better candidates.
But don't let that spoil your crush.

I doubt he will get a formal role but there is no denying that they have a good interpersonal relationship.
I suspect that Farage's support during the campaign was worth a percentage point or two and DT will not forget or not reward that. I further suspect NF will remain behind the scenes and is never formally acknowledge by the current government, but he will help oil the wheels of the relationship for the betterment of the U.K.

Farage beats everyone else to be first to glad-hand Trump.

In all seriousness I think you may well be right I suspect that Farage's support during the campaign was worth a percentage point or two and DT will not forget or reward that.
