You completely fail to understand my position. Where have I ever stated we are not leaving.

I hope you are wrong about Mays ulterior motives. That would be underhand and desperate, and may come back to bite her in the arse.
Its pretty clear to me she was talking to the heads of state and the people more than the EU mandarins, hence the direct appeal to provide leadership.
Which is unavoidable as Barnier hasn't been sent to negotiate he has been sent to reiterate the EUs position until we either capitulate, have a late night deal at the very end, or leave without a deal.

The only chance of ensuring some urgency to the negotiations is to go above his head.
yes

It's natural for one Head of State to address others directly in any case. If it's going over Barnier's head, he should have heard the whoosh and got the idea that something happened.
May is not a head of state.

I'll pack in the pics - that's not a meme, Grandad, if you stop with the pub bore sweeping generalisations. Maybe.

Because the EU have already said it's not going to happen.
...
Which is the strongest of arguments for accepting a position.

You'd think they'd be able to espouse the virtues of everything to do with the EU by now, especially the freedoms (which seem to be becoming a noose).

They're either a good thing or they're not.

To be a grandad I'm pretty sure you have to have children and they have to have children - so no to both so not a grandad

Your list of MP's with stand out qualifications for office they hold...................

He's not entirely wrong, though. They make a very comfortable living without actually having to be any good at anything; that may be unethical, but it isn't "thick" as such.

Mainly because they weren't any good at anything to start with hence the choice of politics........

And in my opinion "thick" is being kind

Because the majority of MP's are frankly thick .
Of course they are. That's literally what they are. Thick as mince, the lot of them.

650 MP's in Parliament I won't make it too hard - name 10% that standout as either great or well qualified for their roles in government or opposition?

In return if you accept the challenge I'll list 20% that are qualified for not much and suitable for much less.

Oh and Foxtrott Oscar with the stupid memes you don't do yourself any favours at all
you do seem obsessed with lists

i remember you had a 20 gigzillion one on reasons to leave

are you an accountant by any chance?

That's a really interesting point - I will admit that to make major decisions I frequently revert to lists or rather lists of pros and cons

Don't exaggerate wolfie - the specifics are I had 273 reasons to leave and 11 to stay

Was until Feb this year then I chose to leave a safe and secure role counting beans and take up a challenge resulting from brexit

If I succeed I may still have a job if I don't then a P45 is likely

Why would I edit my reply?

What's wrong with including the classic face palm picture?

Do they have planning laws? Of course they do silly me - it's just that no-one takes any notice "because french"

That's the problem with the EU - issue rules but no consequences for non compliance - see borrowing and bailouts

on a forum we can talk about tinkerbell but if we meet in person please don't say that name in front of Mrs BC - last time it was 6 months of silence

Moody's downgrades UK to AA2, now two steps below the highest rating.

https://uk.reuters.com/article/uk-britain-eu-moody...

Remember when we used to be AAA? Back in (early) June 2016, Standard & Poor's.

--

Rather surprised May is offering £20Bn extra to the EU to carry on as we are for a bit.

An offer worthy of another red bus : VOTE LEAVE - Let's send £734m/week to the EU and take money from the NHS.

--

Also, how can someone have researched their leave vote in detail but then claim to be unaware of the £350m bus only a few sentences later?
