the chance of Farron being a secret homophobe with some secret agenda to oppress gay rights strikes me as laughable.
More likely a secret homosexual.

Another Mark Oaten?

Better than 50% chance in my view.

Mind you, I would respect him more If he were to come out. It would show some balls.

Huh? I must have imagined that referendum then!
I think that's a fairly typical example of people forgetting what the Lib Dems actually did achieve and stopped the Cons from achieving during those 5 years. It's a shame as most people of 18-30 just think of the tuition fees.

How did we end up in a world, that in order to keep his job, a politician is hounded until he is forced to endorse sodomy?

And they say PC hasn't gone mad!

I can't believe anyone would vote for someone who openly admits he believes in magic and fairy tales!

Theresa May has admitted several times to being a practicing Christian.

which is good, because the total number of LD MPs can easily fit in a stable.

That's one way to look at it.

Another way would be that the sensationalist right wing media thought they saw a weakness; and forced a politician who had always kept his religion personal and away from his politics to speak publicly about his religious views.

Since Tim Farron has consistently voted in favour of gay rights, I dare say he wasn't "forced to endorse sodomy".

But the right wing snowflakes will find 'PC' persecution if they can.

I think he's a self-righteous prick, that feels he can tell 52% of the population that they don't know what they voted for, yet he does know what they voted for, each and every one of them. I hate those that think they know better when clearly they don't.

Two salient points:

1. The population of the UK is 65 million, and only 17.4 million voted for Leave. By my maths that makes it about 26.8% of the population.

2. I think he's telling people they don't know that they're going to get what they voted for. The Leave campaign gave all sorts of promises, many of which we're still waiting to see fulfilled. The only promise I can think of that has been fulfilled so far is the promise to trigger Article 50.

I can understand if you feel you know exactly what you voted Leave for... but since the Brexit process has yet to complete, why are you so certain you're going to get it?

For example, various reports of hate crimes against EU citizens after the Leave vote suggests that at least some people will have been disappointed when the realisation struck that their vote for Leave hasn't yet led to mass deportations of immigrants.
