Well, there are some serious headwinds...

(1) NAFTA collapse will be bad ( although not great for US either)....

(2) US tax reform makes Canada less attractive as an investment location.

Upsides:

(3) US immigration skilled visa
restrictions may make Canada an attractive nearshore location for major tech companies.

(4) Oil may see a rise.

However, there is no doubt that this government , together with the Ontario and BC governments is spending like a drunken sailor and also introducing labour and environmental regulations with will be anathema to foreign capital.

Its not just Trudeau, its the whole pack of them
