"? Even according to pundits on the traditional right, one can find the reason for Trump’s success festering in lower-income white communities, the enemies of racial and social progress, where reactionary politics and redneck racism run rampant."

I'm amazed that this kind of loony left discourse is taken seriously in the US. It's quite scary to be honest.
I'm amazed you've utterly failed to comprehend that the writer is criticising this 'loony left discourse', not indulging in it.

I will admit, i read it in a hurry and at first I thought the same as you but the more I read it the more I thought "this guy actually thinks like this". The writer does describe himself as an activist. So are you absolutely sure about your assumption?

Sorry that's wrong. I read it again, it's a new flavour of loony left trying to build a coalition of white and black working class but targeting the petite bourgeoisie just like old times.

For example

"But scapegoating poor whites keeps the conversation away from fascism’s real base: the petite bourgeoisie.

Trump’s real base, the actual backbone of fascism, isn’t poor and working-class voters, but middle-class and affluent whites.

Always and everywhere, this sort of petit bourgeois constitutes the core of fascism."

Loon!

Did you read the article? I could have picked a better part to be honest but as a petite bourgeoisie, I'm a bit busy earning a crust and grinding the faces of the poor workers. Read it, if you relate to that persons writing then you're a loon (but i think you wont).
I did read the article, and lots of it rang lots of bells. That's why people like David Duke, the KKK, and the "alt right" are such big fans (or "were" until they started realising what a shullbit artist he is).

Wow.
Why the "wow"? Lindsey Graham hates his guts. Has done from Day 1. This is not news and (more importantly) won't affect Trump at all.

It's a huge wow. And it's just been announced that Senate investigators have now sent a request to the treasury department criminal investigation division asking for info related to Trump and others. The net is closing and it's reported that Trump has hired independent counsel to defend himself against allegations relating to Russia.

I wouldn't bet against Trump ending his days in jail alongside Flynn and others. There are already 2 grand juries sitting in VA looking into RICO and FARA issues and they are believed to be investigating up to 40 people with links to Trump and Russia.

How long before a special prosecutor is appointed...

It's more like an episode of "The Three Stooges".

For once, I kind of agree with Trump. Comey has behaved pretty woefully over the past few months. If Hilary had won the election, she would have fired him too.

So Trump fires the FBI Director who is investigating him just after the Director reportedly visited a grand jury that has been convened. LOL.

Not a good idea at this time to sack him but I guess we do not know the full story. On the face of it just adds fuel to the fire
