They have the absolute right to expres opinions and I am glad for that - even if I don't agree with all the opinions I hear.
That's freedom for you.
The last thing I want is the media being silenced - which is what a lot of the Trumpers would like to see.
That is the beginning of the end.
I don't want to silence anyone, but let's not pretend they are news channels with serious reporters. That's freedom for you.
The last thing I want is the media being silenced - which is what a lot of the Trumpers would like to see.
That is the beginning of the end.
They are agenda driven, entertainment channels, pretending to report news.
EVERY reporter?
EVERY anchor?
EVERY presenter?
EVERY newspaper editor?
ALL OVER THE WORLD?
Who is reporting news in your world view?
Are you just deciding what the correct news is based on your own internally held views and prejudices?

without a shadow of a doubt been under more scrutiny and criticism than any other president.
Sincerely doubt that. And even if true, the explanation that the entire media are liberal hand wringing bed wetters doesn't ring even remotely true with even a moment's objective thought. Objectivity though, like a decent turn at Trumps inauguration ball, is hard to find.coyft said:
Pretty much, when it comes to political reporting. There isn't much "news" in politics, it's nearly all analysis and opinion.
I prefer to think for myself.
Based on what information?I prefer to think for myself.
How do you find out what is happening in the world?
Do you have a direct link to world leaders or are you travelling around the world personally researching all the various events and happening?
Or are you just watching the news just like everybody else?

I didn't accuse anyone of being bad or worse.
It seems to me the Trump haters must think that previous presidents were better, I was interested to know which one they thought Trump should aspire to be like.
There have been many bad Presidents in the past - and some good ones too. There have been some who were a mixture of both. That is of no importance when assessing Trump and what HE is doing, what he is saying and how he behaves NOW.It seems to me the Trump haters must think that previous presidents were better, I was interested to know which one they thought Trump should aspire to be like.
I'm old enough to remember Richard Nixon and Watergate. Don't tell me Nixon got an easier ride than Trump.

Anyone for a game of spot the returning banned poster? This whole thread is just one big hand-wringer echo chamber.

I have an open mind.
Your mind seems to be closed. For a start you think that Trump is stupid, you probably believe that you are smarter than he is.
This clouds your judgment, you are unable to view him objectively or the news channels that report what you want to believe.
Where have I ever said Trump is stupid?Your mind seems to be closed. For a start you think that Trump is stupid, you probably believe that you are smarter than he is.

I certainly think he has mental health issues - but I've never claimed he was stupid. He also has a limited vocabulary and has difficulty in putting a coherent sentence together. That doesn't mean he is stupid. It just means he is illiterate. He openly admits that he does not read and generally gets most of his information from TV. Make of that what you will.
You can only have an open mind if you absorb what information from outside that mind. Like it or not, we are dependent on the organs of news to provide us with this type of information. We have limited resources to allow us as individuals to check the veracity of such information. Therefore, we can only go on what we are told. Obviously, we can do our best to assess this information and, to achieve balance, try and check out as many alternatives conduits of news as we can so that our news isn't just obtained from one source
If we chose to disbelieve what we are told, then that disbelief should really be based on some verifiable information that contradicts the stories we are seeing and hearing - not on personal prejudices and beliefs .

Indeed, quite a surreal position to take, he gets the same hit as they all did, and at the moment he is appearing incredibly inept, it's the level of the ineptitude which, like a crystal vase, is skewing the comparison to previous incumbents. Social media and his own obsessive use of it, helping this process. He's his own worst enemy. He should recognise his own shortcomings and make sure he has good people around him to keep him on the straight and narrow. Most good Presidents have worked in this way.
He has appointed some good people but, since he doesn't recognise that he actually HAS any shortcomings, I doubt he is really willing to take their advice.

The US Postal Service created a stamp with a picture of President Trump, but the new stamp was not sticking to envelopes
This enraged the President who demanded a full investigation.
After weeks of testing and $1.73 million in congressional spending, a special Presidential commission presented the following findings:
The stamp is in perfect order.
There is nothing wrong with the adhesive.
People are spitting on the wrong side.

Trump is a subtle as a brick - because he is as think as a brick. If he expects anybody to believe the "reasons" he claims he carried out this action, he is just insulting everybody's intelligence.
Not sure if it was intentional irony on your behalf to spell it "think as a brick". minimoog said:

Not surprising that I'd get banned for supporting Trump.
This is the Mod's world, not ours. Take it up with them if you think there's a problem with their actions. Good luck Ok let's ignore the press, just talk about what the Don has said himself.
Grab them by the pussy.
The last quarter, it was just announced, our gross domestic product … was below zero. Who ever heard of this? It's never below zero.
We’ve just launched 59 missiles, heading to Iraq.
Not even bothering with his cretinous tweets many of which have been deleted.

What should he have said? Our GDP was $19.95 trillion. Pretty meaningless unless you know what the previous number was. He was merely pointing out that GDP had shrunk, a message phrased in language that anyone can understand. The last quarter, it was just announced, our gross domestic product … was below zero. Is that the best you can come up with?

So we are back to interpretation then? You can't have it both ways. He didn't understand gdp! Is that the best you can come up with?
And even if you are right it was a lie.
