Interesting breakdown of the marginal/target GE seats in Scotland, for all parties...

I know, I should get a life etc but I can't help it.

A piece about how newspapers are spinning Swinney's property tax to the SNP look bad. He makes the point the paper focuses on second homes where the tax is highest, which in fairness is a bit of spin. He then goes on to detail the actual tax on first homes as being "just £23,350 – only £8000 higher than the figure for the rest of the UK".

Just? Only £8k more? I suppose when you pulled in £100k+ in a couple of weeks from your pleb sheep £8k isn't much, but that's not really the issue.

He then points out that someone buying a £750k after the tax is reduced in buying power to £729k, and helpfully provides some examples of potential houses at that level. Note the language...

The horror! The humanity! That sort of feeble pittance is only going to get you a miserable six-bedroom, two-bathroom (plus two WCs and an ensuite shower), double-garaged dump in Merchiston, 10 minutes walk from a mainline railway station.
The house pictured is o/o £725k and is going to a closing date, which means it will sell for significantly more than the £729k he's talking about. So he's using an £8-900k house to illustrate a point about a £700k one.

On one fat hand he slates MSM spin, and on the other he provides his own WoS brand spin. And sure enough the fkwits in the comments lap it up like he's the second fking coming.

Yessers. Thinking they're clever spotting MSM bias yet can't see the clear bias from other sources just because it happens to suit their agenda. rolleyes

Nah, his left hands by his side, so her cock would need to be about two foot long.

She's not got any tits of her own that's why she has a grip on a single big one.

She's no oil painting that's for sure. Imagine her face at 80, woaft!, then imagine the screeching voice by then.

SNP MSP Humza Yousaf, the Scottish Government Minister for Transport and the Islands, also voiced fears that fewer Muslims will vote, adding that “you can never really hold an election at a perfect time”.

“I think it would be fair to say that a lot of people in the Muslim community feel that they were certainly not even factored at all into the conversation or the thinking because it will have an impact, I suspect, on turnout,” he said.

That will be no problem in Tower Hamlets...200% of the population will vote by post!

Seriously though, what kind of lame excuse is this? Do Muslims just shut down during Ramadan, like a toy with no batteries? Saying that they will not be able to vote is pretty damn condescending

Rightly so.

The Government can't hold any kind of vote for an entire month of the year, because of the personal beliefs of one group? Beliefs that do not prevent them from taking part?

Utterly ridiculous argument

My local 'high street' has 30 Muslim shops out of 31. I've been here ten years. I've never noticed one to close for ramadan*. If it doesn't stop them working why would it stop them voting?

He's just reminding the SNP Islamic bloc to get out and vote, with a wee dig for good measure. Because pointless wee digs is what they're all about.

*Eid is different. All hell breaks loose at Eid.

Anyone that has ever worked with (or knows) Muslims will know that they pretty much carry on as normal other than fasting.

It shows Yousef as the vile wee bd he is so that can only be a good thing.

The man makes my skin crawl with his fake charm and manipulative manner while never giving a straight answer to any question posed to him.

Apparently someone sent an envelope with some powder in it to a council, with an SNPout message included.

A leading Yesser describes it thus

And the response in the Scottish Unionist media to these incidences of Unionist terrorism, one of which shut down a Scottish town centre and terrified council staff putting them in fear for their lives? Silence. Compare and contrast with the wall to wall coverage of suspected terrorist attacks directed against the British state.
Is it just me or is comparing a prank with something which definitely wasn't anthrax, and hurt nobody to the various shootings, bombings and stabbings, and deaths by our Eastern muckers slightly over the top?

But he's not a Tory - he already said that. The issue here is that if you don't support the politics of the Left (or at least pay them lip service, like the SNP) you're labelled a Tory.. There's nothing wrong with wanting a small 'c' conservative political party, and is something that's actually badly needed in Scotland (as the "Tory" brand remains relatively toxic despite recent improvements in fortune).
That's a fair point, if you're happy to accept the rationale and not label them NATS of Scottish voters who don't want independence but vote SNP in the UK GE as they feel they best suit their overall political viewpoint

My heart bleeds that someone who can afford a SECOND house @ £700K has to pay a tax differential that will help fund public services

What % of the population will the tax actually affect?

It also chimes with the schizophrenic argument, why doesn't the Scottish Gov use its tax raising powers?, Bloody chancers that SNP

See telt you, there's that Scottish Gov making Scotland the most highly taxed part of the U.K., bloody SNP
