Introduced minimum alcohol pricing? An achievement?
First country in the world to declare a climate emergency? fk off.
Baby boxes? Jesus, this bar is set fking low.
Gender balanced cabinet? fk me, I think she's actually serious hehe

The rest of it is just spending other people's money on ste we don't need.
Shouldn't be too difficult for any party thats been in power the length of time they have to come up with
a piss poor 50 achievements, 250 might have been reasonable but 50?, ffs, in how many years?

Its a pity they haven't evened it up for fairness and included 50 SNP failures, complete lies, cover ups, ironies,
discrepancies, and party members who have been done and are in the process of being done for crimes including
some of a very serious nature, the plethora of examples would be so fecking huge they would be spoilt for choice.

As a side note have you noticed how the resident nats only come back with single or two word answers,
it speaks volumes though.rofl
The only and I mean only positive thing I can think of was when they abolished the toll on the forth road bridge. It instantly reduced pollution and congestion in one fell swoop.

That's comedy gold - he's not really an MP though is he? Not just a junior researcher of some kind?
Definitely an MP, albeit barely with a majority of 75.

Is this a Sturgeon trademark that he's adopted, or do they all say "let's be clear" before spouting a load of nonsensical bks? laugh

Thankfully, some people actually are very clear about what the Growth Commission are proposing -

There are really only two ways to avoid this outcome.

If Scotland embarked on independence with a huge war chest of sterling reserves, it might be able to get away with being sterlingised for an extended period. But those reserves do not exist.

Alternatively, if some creative way could be found to attract sterling flows – other than paying exorbitant rates of interest – then that might work. This is how Panama gets away with being dollarised and running a consistent current account deficit: it is a tax haven, and sucks in dollars looking to hide from the IRS. Needless to say, this is not a model that would find favour with the typical supporter of Scottish independence.

Anyone tempted to argue that Scotland will simply adjust its current account position to get around the problem must consider what that actually means.

Net primary income is not something which can be adjusted at will, at least not legally. And a trade deficit is a sticky thing. A country cannot just magic up huge quantities of additional exports. Curbing imports is easier, but if the choice is between abandoning sterlingisation or imposing rationing, then it's pretty clear that sterlingisation must collapse.
Whole thing worth reading, very interesting smile

To give him some credit, he did manage to hold onto the seat after Natalie McGarry's er, removal. Will be interesting to see how he does this time round. He's local (unlike McGarry) and yes, was a researcher for John Mason & Alison Thewliss apparently.

That and abolitionnof tuidion fees. I think both werr in their first term up north.

In Westminster, I can't think of anything they've done. The post-indyref negotiations with the government went their way I guess, but they've hardly covered themselves in glory with their new powers.

  • Was going to edit this for typos, but they're all in the paragraph on education, so I'll leave them. laugh

Just watched this its like shooting fish in a barrel...why on earth are the Scottish opposition parties not taking these nuggets to task to show the voters how completley incompitent the SNP are in everything they do, the ammunition is on a plate ready to be used bloody wake up and nail these rockets once and for all.

Because the main one which people would, and used to vote for are essentially MIA. Leonard is a nobody, and nobody else even recognises the rest of them. Maybe Yusaf at a push. Plus a vote for them is a vote for the magic grampa, and even Labour punters up here know he's not really magic.

More like a Scottish nonentity politician/Scottish nonentity politician moment. He's not even Labour, which pretty much proves my point.

I think I was thinking of Anas Sarwar tbh. My bad. I must be inherently racist. AND a unionist. AND a Brexiteer. I'll report myself to the politburo for my brainwashing.
