Hi all.......

I have only done a couple of trackdays. Has anyone done a trackday at woodbridge?

Is it ok?

I had an excellent time at Woodbridge, as a relative newbie at the time. Javelin did a great job of organising, it wasn't overcrowded and the day was largely incident-free.
Being an airfield, there's absolutely shedloads of runoff if you have a moment. I was a bit concerned about the potentially variable quality of the surface, but it was absolutely great and the transitions provided some real challenges. Certainly not as slick/smooth as a 'proper' circuit, but no less fun for it.

Yep, lots of fun to be had at Woodbridge and plenty of room/very little to hit. As above though it is not a race track, there are varying surfaces with varying levels of grip, its more like a road racing circuit/road section of a rally if that makes sense.

The other thing to note is it's quite hard on tyres and given the surface its not really worth running anything too special. Road tyres are best.

Lastly again given the surface stonechips happen, certainly on the main straight/runway, so if this is a problem for you I'd suggest not running too close to other cars at that point.
