Have we reached "peak guardian"?

Some of this are simply mind-blogging when you realise that they are genuinely serious, not satire!

I simply can't fathom how a paper that produces quality, relevant articles like this could be on its arse through lack of readers...

"Science classes won't future-proof our children. But dance might"
The problem with the Grauniad is that while its investigative journalism is bob-on, one of the best in the industry, they seem to couple that side of it with a whole section of reel-'em-in inflammatory "opinion" articles. I'm sure half the time, the columnists like Toynbee are just on a wind-up.

Presumably the inverted Daily Mail act helps prevent it from sinking altogether; I can imagine the quality stuff doesn't reliably pay the bills.Tankrizzo said:

I agree entirely! Half their stuff is absolutely brilliant & a much needed balance to the Government & hard right - as the media should be. The other half of it is such limp wristed left wing SJW dribble the mind boggles. It's good to see it's noticed by others as well!Justayellowbadge said:

Bang on. "Science classes won't future-proof our children. But dance might"
An interpretative dance workshop is the only way to adequately explain why paying for tomato ketchup is racist.

To be fair to them, they did expose Treadstone.
Not really, didn't even mention it. https://www.theguardian.com/culture/2002/sep/06/ar...These days I think I despise the Guardian even more than the DM. The tunnel vision, narcissism, relentless guilt tripping and utter disregard for any other viewpoint usually has me wanting to set fire to the screen with at least 30% of the articles.
And I'm a die hard remainer and sometime bleeding heart.
They should split off and ring fence the floppy haired pricks and their readers and leave the quality articles and journalism for the rest of us.

It's of infinitely higher quality than the alt-right made up 'news' you have been linking to recently.https://twitter.com/SoMuchGuardian

Harsh but very true.
They do have some useful stuff I think, thing is people let the side that is a bit too far left cancel out some of the good journalism.
Read nothing but the Guardian and you'll probably have a left view of the world, read nothing but Infowars or the Daily Mail and you'll probably look a bit of a loon who hates everyone even if they won't give you cancer.
Read lots of stuff and make your own mind up.
