At least she didnt pluck random figures from het arse like Abbott. She should have been better prepared, infact that figure should have been lodged in her head given its quite an important pledge.

Another amateur show by whats supposed to be credible oposition. Idiots the lot of them.

Lack of preparedness/incompetence is one thing but what really flips my buttons is the derisive laugh she gives every time she's exposed, like a dodgy estate agent you've just pointed out is telling bare faced lies but still thinks he can brazen it out and "chummy bully" you into something. .

I may have missed a subtle whoosh parrot on that one but actually I kind of agree... but I'm sure nobody forces you to become Shadow Education Secretary.

To be fair there's something like a £45bn black hole in Labours budget so far, £6bn of it is pledged to fund these smaller class sizes.

It was probably better for her to swerve the pupils numbers questions for long enough for Nick Ferrari to forget ask where the money would come from.

The Conservatives budget for this election campaign should be no more than £6.50p because all they have to do is keep quiet and let the people Corbyn appointed do their job for them.

To be fair Teresa May gave me a headache with her speech yesterday, all she said was "me and my team" over and over and over again - banghead

It's about having a vague understanding of the scale isn't it? No one was expecting to know the exact number of pupils but if she said about 10% of pupils are in class sizes > 30 then that would have indicated that she had a clue.

Exactly, no one needed precise figures but "a decent chunk" is hard to quantify. Even a "500k+" would have been more than acceptable and prevent her looking like a pillock

Also the rest of her dribble failed to address how they are going to acheive the lower class sizes, more schools?

Whining over a £175 pair of shoes, yeah, she definitely represents the common working men and women.

Instead of actual numbers or figures, all Labour spokespeople have been told they must only use the following less precise terms -

decent chunk
smidgin
loads more
more than enough
a tad
carefully researched
fully costed
I don't do numbers

I was going to say it's not that bad and give her the benefit of the doubt, over 30s class sizes are an issue and it's a policy that addresses the situation, does a MP other than the education secretary/shadow secretary /pm/decision maker need to the fine details when going to an interview.

I then remembered she is shadow education secretary. smash

What a Muppet, what is she doing all day. How would you not know these numbers when it's your own specialist area.

Holy st, she really is as thick as.

Typical labour sound bite politics, tell our supporters what we think they want to hear.

I'd expect an education secretary to have a little more experience in education. How do they decide on who gets the top jobs? Names in a hat?
