Politicians of that era, most anyway, paid considerable sums for their own studio models. They were in great demand. The current lot are mere snowflakes.

there are a lot of awful politicians, however, a little like 'whack-a-mole' those that constantly draw attention to themselves get opprobrium.

That doesn't excuse it.

There's lots to dislike about Dianne Abbott but then you have 50 something pages and most of it's focussing on her appearance saying it's because she draws attention to herself is clutching at straws to justify something that's just stty behaviour.

I case anyone hasn’t noticed, the mods must have been removing the pictures. So please don’t post any as it will probably result in:
  1. Someone getting a ban
  2. This thread getting locked
Not sure I care about the first but Diane’s ignorant, racist, condescending, hypocritical, foolhardy comments need to be exposed to ridicule. There’s more than enough material in what she says and does without having to resort to what she looks like. We all know that she looks like the back end of a horse but that is the least offensive aspect of her.

Sensible advice.
I can't be bothered to follow the actions of this fool (she named in the topic I mean smile), and updates in threads such as this for politicians and celebrities, across the political spectrum, with speshul natures, views and habits can be very helpful in keeping abreast without going to the trouble of doing daily searches.

Thus the collective concious becomes greater than the sum of its parts, and we all benefit to some degree.

And I pont the mods to my previous post stating that if a public figure doesn't like public criticism then they should stop taking the public purse.

If you count the numbers of posters on here who have written less-than complimentary comments, it's a very small percentage of the total of those who could have done. So, should such a tiny percentage of contributors have the power to destroy a career, however incompetent the subject? Better to target and expose Corbyn for allowing it. One-time-crumpetism is worse than illiteracy?

Sorry to say I have no issues with my posts.

She is a complete idiot of the first degree, not only confirmed in her constant inability to be a serious politician but in many photos posted. Remember the photo of Miliband eating the bacon sandwich and the st he took for that?

She chooses to be in the public domain and therefore will be open to criticism from a number of different angles. Please note no posters on here have posted any racial abuse, that is as we all agree, not on.

Well nobody is crying about the less than flattering pics of Trump in the other threads.
This disparity in moderation shows sexism and racism.

I haven't got any problems with the posts either. There doesn't seem to be any occasion where she could be portrayed as elegant, amusing or worthy of praise. But (there's always a but) virtually all these pics are taken out of context or in an off-guard moment in a concerted effort to ridicule. There's more than enough misrepresentation of the spoken (posted) word on the internet which rightfully draws criticism as trolling, doing the same on here is legitimate! She can't help how she looks, short of doing a Davina, other than bowing to public ridicule. On the other hand, it is funny. Bet she's glad there's no more Spitting Image.

For me, and I feel confident this pov is shared by many in here, this woman will be our Home Secretary in the event that Labour are elected at the next GE. Not only if that is not bad enough the prospect of the remaining shadow Labour team feels me with utter despair and dread. Please do not let this happen
I say this as a very moderate Conservative.

I agree with the sentiments. Unfortunately if it becomes the default position to ridicule, mock and misrepresent then it must follow to include all other parties! I know it's commonplace and becoming an art form but it does represent a move downwards which means an acceptance of phoney base motives and false promise. If only our representatives were truly 'honourable'. The hue-and-cry crowd mentality is not a good thing because only the fanatics win.

I have to admit that I have recently had a mild ‘pop’ at DA within the pages here. However, if this so called politician can get away with her racist statements and remarks on National television I feel not one ounce of remorse. If I responded with racist remarks in here I would be banned, rightly, so I am another who questions why it is a high profile politician can get away with it.

Sadly most politicians choose to adopt the 'mock ridicule and misrepresent' the public by constantly lying to them and not being straight with the facts. Al they seem to think about is image and themselves. There is no honour in any of them.
If it represents a move downwards, it's just downwards to the politicians level.
