Think I'll stick with something nicely neutral like 'abhorrent in the eyes of the Lord'.
According to the bible, slavery is ok but poly-cotton clothing is an abomination. It's probably difficult to guess that god's likes & dislikes.
Harry: ...and another thing that bothers me, Your Grace: suppose my right hand offends me, and I cut it off, well, what if my left hand offends me as well? I mean, what do I cut it off with?
Edmund: Er, yes, yes, that is a knotty one...
Harry: Yes.

Your general attitude, and the use of terms like "delicate little snowflakes", suggests otherwise.
True enough, but I also see precisely zero difference between 'snowflake' and 'gammon' in terms of the impression given of the intellect of those using the term.

Wow. It's almost as if this entire multi-page debate has never happened.
Or is mostly worth disregarding? smile

So, post-op trans women are girlies then, because they now have a receptacle?
The two I know are. They would pretty much agree with the statement, too.

Clockwork Cupcake said:
And post-op trans men are blokes?
Sounds about right.

Clockwork Cupcake said:
What about soldiers who have had their dick blown off by an IED? Are they still blokes?
They're blokes who got injured.

I note that for thousands of years the human race got by with 2 genders- it's only very recently that a small part of the world has been rich enough to need variations on the theme.

That's not actually true though. Many Asian and Indian cultures have the concept of a third gender, and some Native American tribes had the concept of "Two Spirit". It's really only Western culture than has stuck rigidly to a gender binary, and even then the concept of what is "manly" and "womanly" has not remained constant.

And many Americans believe in a sky fairy, that the Earth is flat, and that everyone being armed is a great idea. Your point is?

I'll go along with you on this; my point is that there's an awful lot of stupid ideas floating around. I put it to you that the idea of 27 or more genders is one of them.

His point is that if someone believes in one silly thing, its likely that many of the things the believe in are silly. HTH.

Actually your point was that this is a new idea, and when it was pointed out you were wrong you moved the goal posts.

Labelling trans people as "silly" marks you out as a dinosaur. HTH.

Close- my point is that this bks is recent but it was pointed out to me that there are older versions of similar bks.

Regardless of age it's still bks.

He didn't say anything of the sort and your point is completely disingenuous.

No I don’t think it was, but either way;

So on the one hand you dismiss the dogmatic ideology of religion.

On the other you dismiss things which you find difficult to believe in by are supported by science.

In your opinion. But only because (I assume) it doesn't affect you.

In a different forum with a different audience, you might find yourself trying to defend the concept of enjoying driving for the sake of driving, amidst people telling you that's bks and that cars are only for transport.

Someone can say an entire growing part of society is "bks" based on their sophisiticated analysis that "penis = man" but I'm the one not worth taking seriously?
