A big part of my childhood watching the Bond movies and the Persuaders. Very sad.

He always came across as a thoroughly decent person. RIP

RIP

One of my and many others best cinema Bond moments back in 1977 when patriotism still meant something...

The silence and then the whole bloody cinema erupted into a combined cheer when the parachute opened.

Great man and actor, so many parts. I can still remember Ivanhoe!
My favourite Bond moment from my favourite Bond. I'd have been about 12, and I still remember the cinema collectively holding its breath.

He seemed to personify evertything a gentleman should be.

RIP Sir Roger.

A true British legend and by far my favourite Bond due to the sense of humour he brought to the role.

A couple of weeks ago I downloaded his voice as my navigation - heard the news on the radio and so put on Sir Roger's navigation to guide me home.
Very sad to hear, as I pulled up to my house, his standard finale of "You have reached your destination. My job here is done. Roger and out..."

RIP Roger Moore. Certainly one of the contributers to my love all cars!

I believe that this is one of the almost "overlooked" stunts in a Bond Film and was a first of its type

Some memorable cars and car stunts in Roger Moores day

The Lotus Esprit, jumping the AMC ove the bridge, the crap cars and car chases (renault, citroen)

Q: Now pay attention 007. I want you to take great care of this equipment. There are one or two accessories…
Bond (as he revs up the engine): Q, have I ever let you down?
Q: Frequently.

Sad news. The Saint, Persuaders and his Bond appearances were part of my childhood. I was too young to see the Connery Bond's first time around. He was quite entertaining on the Volvo P1800 episode on Car SOS as well. RIP

Sad news indeed.

The Spy Who Loved Me was the first Bond film I saw and was the first step on the road to what turned out to be a fiendishly expensive Lotus habit.

The Great Man would have appreciated that, I'm sure.

Good to see a little humour on such a black day, well done.

Such a shame, when I think of Bond I always visualise him as the part suited him to a tee.

He was certainly a big part of my childhood, in The Saint, The Persuaders and the unique touch of humour he brought to Bond. Nobody did it quite as good as him.

I will raise a glass to him later; shaken not stirred, naturally.
