Hi

I had a CCTV system installed some years ago. I have 8 cameras and the signal is distributed to most rooms in the house and there is a DVR. The connections from the cameras to the DVR are (I think) BNC shot gun cables.

Being an older system I can now not view the signal on new TVs that don't have analogue.

So at the very least I need to upgrade the DVR and tbh the picture quality from the cameras is pretty poor so I'm considering upgrading the cameras as well.

So the wiring and signal distribution system is all there, I'm after a new DVR and cameras. I'd like a set up that allows me to view the feeds remotely on a phone, laptop etc.

Could anybody recommend me a good quality system that is also reasonably priced?

Thanks very much

I Use the Sannce and Annke kit from Amazon.

You can get a decent DVR and new 2MP cameras that will allow remote viewing. The DVR also has a cdmi output as well as VGA for all screen types.

Thanks. The Annke kit looks very reasonably priced and has great reviews. When you say you use them do you mean that you install them for a living?

Cheers

I'm considering this kit:

although this one looks good but I can't tell if the cameras are powered using the ethernet:
